We will be holding a half-day CCC on the skidpad at Thunderhill Raceway Park on the Friday before the November HPDE. The skidpad will be wet, so this will be a great opportunity to hone your car-control skills!
Instructors will have access to the skidpad in the morning for warm-up and practice. For students, the Wet Skidpad CCC starts at noon and ends at 4:30. A very limited number of students will be accepted.

Further, car control skills are fundamental to performance driving. Explore your limits and your car’s limits in a controlled setting. |

All you need to attend is your car, a valid driver’s license, a helmet and the registration fee. (You will also need to complete a Minor Waiver if you are under 18) Two-driver cars are allowed—with each driver registering separately. Please note that helmets are required for this clinic. A limited number of loaner helmets will be available on-site. |

The November 11, 2016 Car Control Clinic will be held on the skidpad at Thunderhill Raceway Park, near Willows, CA. Check-in for registered students opens at 11:00 AM. The event concludes at 4:30 PM. The cost is $160 for BMW CCA members. For non-members, the cost is $208, which includes a one year membership in the BMW CCA. Lunch is not included. |

The CCCs are open to all club members. If you have been thinking about attending a track school, clinics are a prerequisite for first time track school students. The program is structured for people without any formal performance driving experience. Each participant receives personalized instruction provided by experienced club instructors. |

Registration must be made in advance by filling out and submitting an on-line application. The roster will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Each driver must be registered separately in their own name, and must have their own Motorsportreg.com account. Only on-line credit card payment or electronic check will be accepted. You may not register at the event.

You must be a member of the BMW Car Club of America to participate. You do not have to own a BMW to join the BMW CCA or to participate in our driving events. |

If you are already a member of the BMW CCA please include your Membership Number in your registration. If this information is not provided, your registration may be canceled. If you are not a BMW CCA member you may purchase your membership with your registration (you do not have to own a BMW to join the BMW CCA). If you have purchased a membership by paying the non-member rate to attend the HPDE, please indicate this under “reasons for attending,” and register as a member. This will avoid your being double-charged for membership.
If you live in a household with an active member, you may call the national office of the BMW CCA to become an associate member for $10. If you go that route, provide your associate membership number with your registration.
Helmets are required for this clinic. If you will be bringing your own helmet, it must meet the club’s helmet standards and must be presented for inspection at check-in. A small number of loaner helmets will be available on-site.

If you need this clinic as a prerequisite for a BMW CCA track school, keep in mind that you will not be automatically placed on the clinic roster. You must register and pay separately for this clinic. Please register early to make sure you get in.

Your car will have to pass a technical inspection at the event. The tech inspection form will be sent to registered students ahead of time (as part of the Student Packet) to allow you to check your car ahead of time.
We do not allow SUVs at the clinic due to their high center of gravity. The BMW X models and Porsche Cayenne and Macan SAVs are the only exceptions to this policy, and are allowed at the CCC. We also discourage the use of the Toyota Prius at the CCC because the stability control is very intrusive and interferes with the exercises. Convertibles are allowed at the clinic. If the event is full, please register anyway. You will be placed on the waiting list automatically. We often have late cancelations and fill empty seats from this list on a first-come, first-served basis. We will contact you to make sure you are still interested before taking payment. In addition, if you are waitlisted, you will get an email notification when registration opens for the next event. This notification can help you beat the rush.
Lunch will not be provided.
[Instructors who register will go straight to the waiting list for further processing. Please indicate if you are registering for just practice time or for both practice and instructing in the CCC. Indicate your preferred one-hour practice time slot in the morning. HPDE instructors who wish to practice on the wet skidpad will be considered, based on demand.]
