The PCA club race at Watkins Glen is July 10th -12th. I have scheduled the trip to Watkins Glen on July 11th to watch the race and do parade laps. We will be meeting at the Waffle House parking lot in Clarks Summit at 8:00 for a drivers meeting and leaving at 8:15.                 

We will then take about a three hour drive on back roads with a fluid adjustment stop on the way to Watkins Glen international speedway to sign in for our 12:00 paced laps. For those of you that have never attended we get three  laps around the track behind a pace car at highway speeds. There is no passing so you do not need helmets and children are allowed.  We also stop on the front straight for a photo opportunity at the end .

The cost is $40.00 per car for the laps and you need to sign up on motorsportreg. Please call me if you have any questions or problems.
 

After the paced laps we can take a tour through the garage and see the race cars and talk to the drivers and get information about the club racing program. The rest of the afternoon we can spend watching the races or you can tour around town where there are many fun activities and shops.
     

The concession stand is usually open for lunch or you can go to one of the many nearby restaurants. I like to bring a sandwich so I can stay and watch the club racing.
