The Boston Chapter will host a wonderful day of twisty road driving, leaf peeping, and a visit to a special car collection with vintage German, Italian, and British iron that you won't want to miss. There will be a half day and full day option with detailed maps provided for each. Space is limited to the first 30 cars.
LOGISTICS
Meet: 9AM Hooksett NH Welcome Center Rest Area off I-93N (1 mile past toll plaza)
Drivers Meeting: 9:15AM
Departure: 9:30AM Sharp!
Drive 1
The first leg of the driving tour will be ~65 miles from the Hooksett Welcome Center to Chuck Swagger's car collection. This will be mostly back roads through NH's beautiful countryside. Total driving time is estimated to be around 1.5 - 2 hours. Arrive around 11AM - 11:30AM
Car Collection
Visit Chuck Swagger's collection for about an hour.
Drive 2
Leave the car collection and head to Johnson's Seafood, Steak, & Dairy Bar - about a 20 minute drive. Buy lunch at Johnson's or bring your own lunch. After lunch, this ends the Half-Day Option. Those opting to go home after lunch can depart on their own.
Drive 3
For those opting for the Full-Day Option, we will leave Johnson's around 1:30PM and head towards Wolfboro and the Kancamangus Highway. We will drive for about an hour and take a rest stop at the Dunkin Donuts just before the Kanc to collect the group.
Drive 4
After a bathroom break and a dose of caffeine, we will head out over the Kanc to Lincoln. This is about an hour drive over the Kanc and we will proceed through Lincoln to the Woodstock Inn and Brewery. We should be at the Woodstock Inn by 4PM - 4:30PM. For those interested, we will grab a bite and frosty beverage at the Woodstock Inn (space permitting). The driving tour is over at this point. We will be very close to I-93 to head home.
