About this event
We are excited this year to be hosting the 55th Formula Vee Birthday Party at our annual Hurricane in Savannah. Formula Vees should register separately from other vintage classes for this event at The Formula Vee 55th Birthday Party
All other open and closed wheel classes should register here. Because of the combined event, our classing is somewhat different for this event, but rest assured our 3-day event offers plenty of track time for everyone. Friday practice and qualifying sessions will be followed by Saturday morning qualifying and afternoon Feature Races. Sunday morning will feature the VDCA Enduro with sprint races for each run group in the afternoon. As always, there is no additional charge for the Vintage Enduro.
Track Access will be available beginning Thursday, and Registration will open at 2 PM. The Gate will be staffed all night Thursday through Saturday for your access.
Saturday's Social Celebration will be held at the track in the snack bar area. Drivers, plus two crew and/or guests welcome as part of the entry fee. There will be a $30 overcrew charge for extra guests to stay for dinner.
Early Bird Pre-Registration opens July 1st and closes Saturday 8/25/2018. Because of the Labor Day Holiday, any checks or entries mailed to the VDCA office should be sent to arrive by Friday 8/31. Please allow adequate time for USPS delivery. On-line registration will be available until midnight August 25th, and the “AT-Track fee” will apply after that time.
Pre-Registration Entry is $350. A second car entered in a different group is only an additional $200. You may pay on-line here through MotorsportReg. If you are pre-registered you may pay the $350 at the track. At-Track entry for those who have not pre-registered will be $450. Since we will not charge your credit card until you arrive at the track to sign the waiver, there is no reason not to register as early as possible so that we can finalize dinner plans and group assignments.
Event requirements
All Vintage entrants must be current members of VDCA and hold a current competition license and racing medical. Entrants new to the club, must submit verification of competition credentials and a current medical with doctor’s signature. Minor drivers, 16-18, must complete a minor waiver signed by their parents or legal guardian. We honor all Vintage Motorsport Council (VMC) member licenses.
Cars must be vintage correct and race prepared . See our website for complete preparation and safety equipment guidelines. Vehicles not already on file with VDCA must be accompanied by a Vehicle Registration form. VDCA honors annual techs from VMC member clubs.
