About this event
Our September Drive will be from Denver to Vail village where we will have a lunch event, then go to the Vail Automotive Classic car show.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 16th through 17th 2023.
After the drivers meeting, we'll depart at 9:00 am and arrive at Vail village by noon. There, we'll be getting lunch at the famous Red Lion in the village. Sandwiches, BBQ platters and burgers are available and a large menu of Beer, Wine and Cocktails to relax into the afternoon. The Red Lion has been a Village mainstay since 1962. Dining there will be on-your-own: you are responsible for your own check.
More information about the weekend events for the car show can be found at https://www.vailautomotiveclassic.com. At this time, we beleive there is still lodging available around the Vail area if you would like to make a full weekend out of this event. This promises to be a great opportunity to enjoy our Rocky Mountains in the shoulder season, with some great (cooler) weather. We encourage you to consider staying for the weekend, other club members will be up there for the car show.
We will be gathering in the Denver area at Bevy's (previously Tipsy's) Liquor parking lot. There is a gas station nearby so you can fill up and grab any snacks/drinks before leaving.
Mandatory drivers meeting will be held at 8:45 am, prior to departing.
Please have your car gassed up, drinks, snacks, and restroom break completed so we can leave at 9:00am. We will have QR codes to google maps of the driving route we plan to take.
Registration priority will be given to active ACNA members. Registration closes on Sept 8th so that we can get head counts to Beaver Creek.
