You may be wondering, what is WAAAM?

WAAAM is the Western Aeroplane & Automobile Museum and it’s one of the largest collections of still-flying antique airplane and still-driving antique automobiles in the country and it’s in our back yard of Hood River!

https://www.waaamuseum.org/

The Tour d’ Fred this year, will be a scenic Mt. Hood loop that ends at WAAAM.  This will be a “Second Saturday” of the month which is when WAAAM gets a few of the plane engines running. You can also get a ride in a few of the historic cars around the museum property! The action occurs between 10am and 2pm.  The restoration shop has a free tour at 11am and another one at 1pm that you do not want to miss. The drive will lead us through some great east county scenery, including all the fruit trees and flowers blooming in the Hood River Valley.

Purchase your tickets today for $15 per person. That is a 40% savings over the normal $25 entry fee. Kids 5-18 are $7 (normally $12). And kids 4 and under are free.

*Please Note: This Drive is for current BMW CCA members and their passengers only, who pre-register online for the Drive.*

Arrive at Columbia Park no earlier than 8:00AM. We will have a mandatory Drivers Meeting at 8:30 AM to explain the route and safety rules. We will head out shortly thereafter.

When we arrive at the Museum, your group leader will have a check-in meeting before entering the museum all together.

Second Saturdays have an optional no-host lunch within the museum from 11am to 1pm. In the past they have had burgers or a pulled pork sandwich meal. (note: attendees pay for their own food and beverages).

Weather permitting, they may have airplane rides. The D-25 biplane is $100 per person and the Ford Trimotor is $250 per person. Signup when you arrive.
