Taste of the Track - Driver (Session 1 at 11:15AM)

Carolina Motorsports Park

About this event

Turn One “Taste of the Track Driving Experience” gives you the opportunity to drive your own car on Carolina Motorsports Park’s 2.27-mile, 14 turn road course in a lead-follow format.  The lead-follow format is one where participating drivers follow an instructor who demonstrates the proper line around the circuit.  This provides a safe, controlled introduction to what it feels like to drive on a professionally designed road racing circuit.

The program begins with a classroom session on the basics of driving the circuit. You will then follow one of our instructors onto the circuit for 4 laps (with up to 4 other drivers). Next you will return to the paddock to debrief with the instructor.  Following the debriefing, you will follow the instructor back onto the circuit for another 6 lap lead-follow session. A third, final debriefing will complete your day. In total, you will receive three classroom sessions and experience over 20 miles of driving on Carolina Motorsport Park’s professionally designed road course. The Taste of the Track Driving Experience will be available to anyone with a valid driver’s license. Sessions will be limited to five participants. Due to strict COVID-19 guidelines we cannot allow drivers to have passengers for this event.

**Taste of the Track’s Ride-along Experience will offer anyone 12 years of age or older the opportunity to ride in the passenger seat of the instructor’s vehicle during Taste of the Track events. Experience the thrill of riding around Carolina Motorsport Park’s road course while our instructor explains the finer points of performance driving.

**Please note due to COVID-19 Taste of the Track events will not allow any Instructor ride-alongs until further notice. Thank you for understanding.

Taste of the Track Session 1 begins at 11:15AM.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to event start time. The Taste of the Track event is typically about one and a half to two hours.
