About this event
Sunrise Drive to Dobbins Lookout at South Mountain
Saturday, November 21st, 2026
Audi Club of Arizona invites you on a drive up to the scenic Dobbins Lookout, located on top of South Mountain, for an early morning drive to catch the sunrise and enjoy some breakfast afterwards. This is a tight, windy road leading up to a breathtaking view of the Phoenix area, along with some shaded parts should you choose to escape the sunrise the rest of us are chasing.
We'll meet near the base of South Mountain at bright and early 6:00 AM - There will be a driver's meeting prior to a 6:30 AM departure time. Location provided in the email that follows your successful registration to this event. Sunrise is right around 7:00 AM that morning so we should catch the break-point on the horizon as we're ascending the mountain (The reason for the early start).
If you're interested in breakfast afterwards, there's an establishment known as Brunch Snob that is only a ~35 min from the peak of Dobbins Lookout. We'll make that decision based on a show of hands at the Lookout itself.
Please register prior to November 20th, 2026. We do not require a headcount on this drive, but we want ot make sure everyone interested signs up so we don't miss anyone if we get some stragglers running behind.
- Please register on MotorsportReg.com
- Checkmark the registration box
- Click "Proceed to Checkout" button at the bottom
- Next screen - click "Complete Registration"
The driver will then receive an email with the departure location, a route map link, and GPS entries.
