A unique opportunity to exercise special cars on the track!
For the first time in decades, the mid-Atlantic region drivers will have the opportunity to enjoy your historic car, enjoy the track, and enjoy driving together in an exciting yet safe environment.
The Summit Point Historic Group is a non-competitive lapping group for former race cars and road cars from the last century
Who should enter:
Those who race, have retired or never raced
Those who have a car that they do not want to subject to the intensity of competition but would still like to bring their car out on track in a safe and fun environment
Those who have the right attitude- The goal is for you and your fellow participants to enjoy the experience and appreciate the amazing cars in their natural habit -on a track!
Your day includes race line guidance on Bill Scott's (of Bill Scott Racing fame) brilliant Shenandoah Circuit
plus, wisdom of renowned Driver Coach, Peter Krause.

The Summit Point Historics is a non-competitive lapping day and social event celebrating spirited driving of road cars and former rally and race cars from the last century.
You will ask no more from your car than a typical highway drive (with lots of exit ramps). The difference is racetrack and racetrack safety!
General Information: Rare and unusual sports and race cars from Pre World War II through the early ‘70s are encouraged to participate. Rare and unusual vintage cars (post 1990) may be accepted by invitation only. The organizers reserve the right of final approval.
Technical Inspection: All cars must pass a simple safety inspection at the track. An inspection sheet is provided in the event package to help you or your shop prepare.
Car Safety Equipment: Seatbelts in good condition are required. Onboard fire extinguishers are recommended but not required
Run Groups: Cars will be separated into run groups by engine capacity and or age.
Each run group will have up to 40 minutes of track time.
Entries are limited to 30 participants for an optimal track experience.

Passengers over the age of 16 are welcomed. Cars must be equipped with equal protection for both driver and passenger.
ENTRY: $595.00 Invites Driver and one non-driving guest, plus lunch. Includes a $100 donation to Seven Loaves Services, "Providing food assistance for over 30 years".

Event requirements
Driver:
- Must have a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 6mos.and present it at check-in
*Drivers 16-17 must have a parent or guardian present with them and sign a minor waiver
Current Medical: Not required.
- Helmets: Are not required
- Shoes: Closed toe
Personal Safety Equipment: Helmets are optional (Snell SA2015 or SA2020, no M or K) Period helmets and gear are allowed.
All other safety gear, including Nomex suits, gloves, etc., are not required.
- Cars from the Prewar era through the early ‘70s are encouraged to participate.
- Newer vintage cars may be accepted by invitation only.
We love to see former race cars (and drivers) who may not be competing anymore, or vintage road-going sports cars that others would want to enjoy on track.
- Electric vehicles (EVs) are prohibited from operating on any Summit Point Motorsports Park track without prior written approval from SPMP management.
- Exceptions that will be taken under consideration for approval are Hybrid and Purpose-built competition vehicles.
- EV charging is NOT supported by the SPMP Infrastructure; charging from all SPMP outlets is prohibited.
- The User is responsible for ensuring adherence to and enforcement of this policy and liable for all damages that should result to SPMP for non-compliance.
- Strict compliance is required to maintain the safety and integrity of ongoing SPMP operations.
Muffled: Yes. Please make sure your car meets the sound requirement of 86db or less. It is at the track's discretion to remove you from the event if you are over the sound limit due to town ordinances. We cannot issue refunds or any credits due to non-compliance.
Car Safety Equipment: Seatbelts in good condition are required (no date code). Onboard fire extinguishers are recommended but not required.
Passengers: You may carry as many passengers as you have seatbelts, and all passengers must be securely belted. All passengers must have the same level of protection (seats and belts) as the driver.

*It is the responsibility of the participant to assure safe mechanical condition of the vehicle at all times.
It is strongly recommended that vehicles be thoroughly and routinely inspected by a reputable technician before on track activities

- Upon arrival at the motorsports gate you will be directed to the Shenandoah Circuit Paddock
- You do NOT need to bring a Tech sheet
This event runs “Rain or Shine, Hot or Cold” but may be rescheduled/paused for more significant weather
