State of Drift will continue to bring you grassroots competition drifting that will prepare the driver for the next level. We welcome all drivers, novice or professional. This season will be a 3 round series. We will be following the Turismo Drift rulebook, along with their interpretation of a new competition structure, eliminating single run qualifying and hold a tandem elimination bracketed competition.
This will be the first time we host a State of Drift round in conjunction with a Midnight Madness event at Memphis International Raceway, home of Traction Optional! Competition drivers please refer to the new rule book at www.turismodrift.com
Non-Comp drivers are welcome to come out for some fun runs! Along with drifting there will be opportunity for grip driving and drag racing! Hit up www.tractionoptional.com for more info!
Event requirements
Competition drivers, please refer to www.turismodrift.com rule book for detailed info. (Cage required)
What you need to drift:
• A rear wheel drive car.
• No leaking fluids. Make sure you don’t have any lines that are disconnected and leaking or any bolts that are loose which allow seals to leak, Brakelines, etc.
• Operable Brakes
• Properly mounted Seat or Seats.
• Properly Fastened Seat belts
• Properly mounted wheels
• Steering wheel is well mounted
• Battery Fastened down with proper harness.
• Helmet
• Plenty of Fuel
• Plenty of Tires. (The higher the treadwear and the lower the horsepower, the longer they’ll last, for reference) Tire mounter is on site! $10/mount*
• Jack & Jackstands
• Tools
• All body parts are well fastened
• Radiator Hoses well fastened (Check entire coolant system)
• Just make sure you’re mechanically sound, ese.
*$20 for aggressively stretched mounts
