Please see below terms from Area27 management and be sure to select the proper group that fits best to your driving creditians:

Participants are eligible to open lapping, meaning Advanced and Intermediate groups, if they can prove one or more of the following. If they are unable to produce accreditation prior to arriving at the facility, they will be moved into the novice group.

Accredited drivers that have never been to Area 27 will be required to do a minimum of 2 lead follow laps to familiarize themselves with the circuit. Please provide one or more of the following:

  1. Have an official lapping license or higher issued by a recognized sanctioning authority such as ORRA 27,
  2. Or, currently hold or have previously held a regional or higher-grade race license within the last ten (10) years. Ineligible race licenses include Autocross licenses,
  3. Or, have successfully completed an ASN approved performance driving program with proof of certification within the last five (5) years.
  4. Or, have attended an event run by Academy 27’s Chief Instructor a minimum of 3 times within the last 12 months or 5 dates within the last 24 months. Must be able to provide specific dates verified by SOMC management."

The newest change is the last one where a driver may not have formal accreditation, but has been to several other programs at the facility - please note however that the program would need to be run by Kees in order to be eligible.

Here is the lead-follow policy:

"Lead follow is mandatory for those that do not meet Area 27 Advanced Driver eligibility requirements prior to an event.

A minimum of two formal lead follow sessions is required for Novice and Intermediate drivers with these drivers only being eligible to move to open lapping with an accredited instructor’s authorization.

Lead Follow is defined as a paced session by an accredited instructor with no more than 6 cars behind the instructor vehicle. Lead follow is required for anyone new to Area 27, even those who meet Advanced accreditation in order to familiarize themselves with the circuit. This is to ensure a safe event due to the technical elements of the circuit."

Please note that Area27 only allows non-members to attend up to 3 times a year.

You will be rejected without a refund If you are a non member and have attended Area27 3 times or more in 2021 prior to this event.

Area27's Crave kitchen will be available. A menu will be provided during the morning, and participants may choose, and purchase their meals with Crave kitchen.
