About this event
SnoSkaWha Loop Tour, meaning Snohomish, Skagit, Whatcom counties! We are going north, following the water-side of three counties — Snohomish, Skagit, and Whatcom — and looping back south to Burlington for lunch.
The group starts at McDonald’s in the Tulalip Casino area in Marysville and loops out west along the coast to our first rest stop in Stanwood. Continuing north, we enter Skagit County, pass through Conway and run the flats on Fir Island. Then we cruise through La Conner on our way to the beautiful Washington Park Loop in Anacortes for our second rest stop. The third leg starts with the Washington Park Loop, a 2.1-mile single lane road full of bikers and walkers and runners and dogs and speed bumps. Slow is the word here, but it's only for a short distance. We then pass around Anacortes, visit the refineries, and wind north through the Skagit Valley blueberry fields near Edison. Then we drive north towards Bellingham via twisty and scenic Chuckanut Drive. Once in Whatcom County, we have our last rest stop and start the final leg by heading south. The route takes us through South Bellingham past Lake Padden, then skirts the shore of Lake Samish alongside I-5 and down Old Highway 99 through Alger and to Burlington. Our destination for the day is the Bob’s Burgers and Brew in Burlington, just off I-5. Pay as you go. The fleet will have a great late lunch before heading home under your own navigation.
Total distance for the four legs is 132 miles and should take a bit more than four hours, including rest stops.
