SFR Solo Intermediate School
Overview
SFR Solo's Intermediate School is a full-day instructional event designed for drivers who are looking to refine and fine tune their skills. This school is designed to help you practice higher skill levels with experienced feedback.
To ensure students have sufficent 1:1 time with instructors, entry is capped to 16 students. Entrants beyond 16 will be waitlisted.
What You'll Work On
- Vision and course reading. Where your eyes actually need to be, and how far ahead you should be looking at speed.
- Slalom technique. Rhythm, timing, and the difference between surviving a slalom and gaining time through one.
- Braking and weight transfer. Trail braking fundamentals, rotation on entry, and using the brakes as a steering input.
- Planning. How to plan your run from a course walk, and properly execute that plan when you drive.
- Self-diagnosis. How to use your own run data, video, and instructor feedback to find your own time between events.
Requirements to Attend
- Drivers must have attended a minimum of 10+ events.
- Confortable with the basics of autocross (reading a course, backsideing, slaloms, looking ahead)
- SCCA Annual Membership
Cost
- $165
- Discounted entry to SFR's regional event Sunday May 17th ($50, normally $60).
Event requirements
All participants must be SCCA members.
Cancellations will not be accepted after registration closes.
