Jason Smith Collection Drive

This is a one-day drive that will take us from Altoona to Cedar Rapids to visit three exquisite car collections owned by Duane Smith and Jason Smith. All three collections have high end cars including several iconic Porsches including a 959, a Carrera GT and a 918 just for starters. These are the cars that were on display at our Schonesland 50th year Celebration.

Some of the details are still being finalized.

Things I know at this time:

We will be sharing this experience with the Central Iowa Region. A few members from the Central Iowa Region may join somewhere on our drive over.

Our schedule at Cedar Rapids is complete with just the driving details and start time yet to be determined. Estimated start time will be around 7:00 for insurance release form sign up and Driver’s meeting with a drive start time of 7:25. Because of the need to be at the first collection in Cedar Rapids relatively early this will be closer to being a more straight-line drive.

There will be refreshments at Duane’s collection with a box lunch at the Jetset Collection in the afternoon.

This event will take place rain or shine.

This drive details should be completed sometime next week with more information to be released at that time.
