Spokes and Sasca are excited to host an autocross school down in Beeville Texas. This autocross school is primarily intended for novice and intermediate autocrossers, but students of any skill level can sign up.
The curriculum is designed to help you break down autocross into easily digestible pieces. Working with an instructor, you will practice specific core skills the same way a football or basketball player breaks the game down into drills, and then put it all together on a full size autocross course.
There are only 36 spots available in the autocross school. We are intentionally keeping the school small to ensure we provide the best instructional experience possible.
Here are all of the details for the school:
Schedule (Saturday May 4th)
7:30am - Students and instructors arrive on site (you can opt to arrive Friday evening if you wish).
8:00am to 11:30am - Practice 3 separate core skills with help from a dedicated instructor.
11:30am to 12:00pm - Lunch break, while the full autocross course is put together.
12:00pm to 12:30pm - Walk the course with your instructor.
12:30pm to 2:15pm - Students put their skills to practice on the full autocross course.
2:30pm to 4:15pm - Students work the course while the Test N Tune drivers drive.
Registration details
Cost for the school is $75
Registration opens on Sunday March 31st at 11:00am central time.
ALL registrations will initially be placed on hold.
From March 31st to April 6th, Spokes and Sasca members will be moved from "hold" to "confirmed". This is to give priority to members for the first week.
Starting April 7th, if there are any spots still available, they will be filled by members OR non-members based on registration order.
<< Test N Tune (TnT) >>
The Test N Tune event is meant for experienced drivers, looking for a chance to get lots of runs to work on car setup and/or driving technique/skills. You will get ~8-10 runs!
There are only 18 spots available for the TnT. There will be 36 total drivers, including the instructors from the school.
Here are all of the details for the TnT:
Schedule (Saturday May 4th)
11:30am - Test N Tune drivers arrive on site
12:00pm - Course walks
12:30pm - 2:15pm - Work assignment
2:30pm - 4:15pm - DRIVE!
Registration details
Cost for the TnT is $65

EVENT REQUIREMENTS
You must be 16 or older with a valid drivers license to drive or ride.
Your car must pass tech and you must have a DOT approved helmet (we do have loaner helmets available)
Tech inspection checklist:
- Tires: No cords showing on any of the 4 tires.
- Wheels and Lugs: All lugs in place, suspension is tight, and no play in the wheel bearings.
- Fluids: No fluid leaks under the hood or under the car.
- Battery: Battery must be secure.
- Under hood: Leaks, battery, air cleaner type, modifications (for classing), loose items.
- Pedals: Both brake and accelerator pedals are working properly (firm brake, accelerator returns smoothly).
- Loose items: All loose items should be removed from the trunk and the vehicle cabin, including floor mats.
- Seat Belts: Some type of functional seat belt must be used.
- Seats: Seats must be secure.
