WHAT:  RMR-West: Aspen to Glenwood, the Long Way ‘Round'

ROUTE:  Aspen > Independence Pass > Buena Vista > Cottonwood Pass > Gunnison > Hotchkiss > McClure Pass > Carbondale > Glenwood Springs

DRIVE DESCRIPTION:  RMR’s Westies (20 Porsches) will leave Aspen, driving east over Independence Pass and down to Buena Vista where we will meet up with the Denver drive group (28 Porsches).  We will then drive over Cottonwood Pass (elevation 12,126 ft.) and over to Gunnison where we stop for lunch at Garlic Mikes.  After lunch, we will drive past Blue Mesa Reservoir and up to Hermits Rest Vista for some scenic views.  We then continue on to Hotchkiss and over McClure Pass (elevation 8,770 ft.), dropping into Redstone, then Carbondale, ending the drive in Glenwood Springs at the Marriott’s Residence Inn where we will have a “East Meets West” reception with heavy apps and beer/wine.

DRIVE START: 7:15am at Buttermilk Ski Resort (38700 CO-82, Aspen, CO 81611)       

DRIVE END: 5:00pm at Residence Inn  (125 Wulfsohn Road, Glenwood Springs, CO 81601)

REGISTRATION OPENS:  April 26, 2026

REGISTRATION CLOSES:  July 10, 2026

COST: $130/person  (includes lunch, tax/tip, hotel reception w/ heavy apps and two drinks)

MILEAGE:  295 miles
