Join us for this brand new overnight event from your friends at PCA Potomac Drive & Dine! Horticulture and race cars all on one trip. Who'd have thought of that?
On Friday 9/23, we will drive from a location in Frederick County MD not far from I-270 through the countryside of central Maryland into the eastern Pennsylvania hills, with a Friday evening visit to Longwood Gardens (https://longwoodgardens.org) in Kennett Square, PA, (enjoying the sunset and then a light show) followed by dinner, and an overnight stay (please see hotel information below).
Admission for the Longwood Gardens evening visit (including light show) is $31 for adults, $28 for seniors (62+), and $15 for ages 5-18. As of now, we will be paying on site. If we are able to arrange an advance purchase we will provide a separate registration at a later date.
The next day (Saturday 9/24), after breakfast, we will take a park-like drive through the posh Philly “Main Line”, taking us to our ultimate stop, the world-famous Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum (https://simeonemuseum.org), one of the premiere racing car museums. Weather permitting, they may fire up a few of the old cars, so bring ear plugs “just in case”.
Admission for the Simeone Museum is $13.63 (includes $1.63 procesing fee) for adults 18-65, $11.63 for adults 65+, and free for under 18s. As of now, we will be paying on site. If we are able to arrange an advance purchase we will provide a separate registration at a later date.
Everyone is on their own afterwards, whether staying in Philly or heading back to the Potomac Region at their own leisure.

- If the blocks are not available above, there are also the Fairfield Inn - Brandywine Valley (719 E Baltimore Pike, Kennett Sq PA 19348) at 610-444-8995, and Hilton Garden (815 E Baltimore Pike, 19348) at 610-444-9100. Please be advised they either have much higher rates or may be sold out.
We will be making dinner arrangements shortly for Friday night 9/23. If advance payment is needed, we will provide a separate registration at a later date.
We are currently limited to 22 registrations (up to 4 people each) based on hotel room availability. If you are waitlisted but were able to register at a hotel in the area outside our blocks, please let us know.

Event requirements
APPLICATIONS/ACCEPTANCE
- Our events are open to all marques.
- You do not need to be a PCA member to participate.
- Portions of this event have limited capacity to accommodate the venue's facilities, and for the safety of all participants. (late registrations are risky due to capacity). Watch the website for revisions.
- We will notify you of your status by email. You are responsible for updating your profile in the MotorsportReg.com website to include your current contact information.
- We initially list all registrants as “New”, or "Waitlisted" if the event is filled to capacity. When possible, we will change your status as soon as possible. We will provide formal notification of acceptance into the event by email prior to an event. If you haven’t received any notification, check the MSR website for your status.
- Due to limited capacity of the event venue, walkups are discouraged from attempting to join the event.
- IF YOU CAN'T PARTICIPATE, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO CANCEL.
CANCELLATION
- If you must cancel please be courteous and cancel as soon as you can in order to allow others from the wait list to attend.
- Cancellations after September 10, 2022 will not be refunded unless we are able to confirm someone else from the waitlist. See Refund details below.
- Cancellations for hotel accommodations are per the policies of individual hotels.
- If you cannot cancel online, you must notify the Registrar by email and receive an ACKNOWLEDGMENT by email to verify that you have canceled.
PAYMENT
- Potomac accepts only credit cards for payment. You are responsible for maintaining VALID CREDIT CARD INFORMATION in your profile.
- Billing problems result in notification by email with limited time to resolve the issue due to the short billing period. If the issue is not resolved, we may cancel you from the event.
- Credit card and billing information uses secure connections and is protected by MotorSportReg.com. You are the only person who has access to your card number. We only see the last four digits for billing purposes.
- Hotel accommodations & payment for services must be made directly through the respective hotels you are registered at.
REFUND
- Refunds for hotel accommodations are per the policies of individual hotels.
- Contact the D&D Chair to discuss special circumstances. THE D&D CHAIR IS THE ONLY PERSON WHO CAN AUTHORIZE A REFUND OR CREDIT FOR AN EVENT.
- Refunds for cancellations after September 10 are at the disgression of the D&D Chair.and are only possible if we can confirm another guest to take your place from the waitlist.
- If you are authorized a credit for an event, you must use it before the end of the calendar year. We will not carry credits over into the following year. Credits may only be used for other PCA Potomac events. They can't be used for other clubs who also use motorsportreg.com.
