The same day as the LeMay America's Car Museum Heroes of Bavaria event, Oregon Chapter members have been invited to enjoy a private no-cost tour of Peter Gleeson’s collection of rare and historic BMW’s!  Club members have talked about this event for years, now it is happening!

Peter has graciously invited Oregon Chapter members and guests to tour his garage on Saturday afternoon, January 26th before the LeMay event.  Our chapter is running this event separately from the LeMay event.  You can attend both events, or attend just Peter’s event.  Some of Peter's cars will be on display at LeMay, however, he has many cars and racing memorabilia in his garage.  He has the most extensive collection of rare BMW vintage race and street cars in the country.  You may have seen the August, 2017 Roundel cover article about Peter and his collection.  Peter grew up in South London as a poor kid who fell in love with sports cars while sneaking into a local race track.  Through hard work and his "smarts", Peter became a very successful business man specializing in mining companies.  He was finally able to start collecting his favorite cars, starting with a 840i.  After moving to the US, Peter was able to use his connections with race car drivers to start collecting cars, original driving suits, and memorabilia.  For example, his collection includes 8 CSL's, 4 M1's (including the only non-BMW factory art car), and the first 2002 Turbo produced.

This is a one time only event that you will not want to miss.  Keep in mind that we have a 60 person limit for this event, so please don't wait too long to register.

Our plan has changed: instead of meeting at the Meadows Race Track, we are going to meet at the Alderwood Mall in Lynwood, WA.  This is much simpler and straight-forward.

• Meet at the AMC Loews Cineplex 16 at Alderwood Mall at 12:30.  Address is 18733 33rd Avenue W, Lynwood, WA 98037.
• Park in the garage under the cineplex.
• Walk out of the parking garage and meet everyone under the "AMC" sign outside the entrance to the garage.
• Peter will meet us there and then join us for lunch at the Food Court or nearby restaurant.
• After lunch, we will depart and Peter will lead us to his garage.
