Peachtree BMW CCA Fall Helen Drive

FALL HELEN SCENIC DRIVE WITH PEACHTREE CHAPTER BMW CCA

What could be better than driving our German BMW's over twisty mountain roads to a Bavarian Village and having an authentic German meal? This is the next great outing planned by the Peachtree Chapter of the BMW CCA.

Our day will start at the Alpharetta location of German Car Repair (6070 Alpharetta Highway). The staff here will provide an introduction and overview of their facilities and services as well as coffee and donuts and other refreshments. Don't drink too much coffee though, as we have a couple of hours of driving ahead of us. We will leave GCR and head towards to North Georgia mountains, taking the more interesting and longer route to our destination. Some of the roads will be familiar to the drivers that joined us at the drives last November and April, but we'll throw in quite a few new and interesting roads also. About the time you start getting hungry, we will end up in the Bavarian themed town of Helen.

After a quick look around and perhaps a few photos, we will enter the Heidelberg restaurant where you will have your choice of four German entrees, along with an appetizer (pretzels, of course!), and dessert (what else but apple strudel). Soft drinks are included with the main course and coffee with the dessert, but you can also get more" traditional" German liquids on your own.

Complete driving/navigating instructions will be provided later, including suggested routes from Helen back to the Atlanta area. The cost for all of this is only $40 per person. We have a limit on how many cars and people we can accommodate, so sign up early to reserve your spot!
