PCA-SAR Tour To The Grand Canyon

Last year we had a blast going to the Grand Canyon.  Unfortunately, due to COVID may people were unable to join participate. Join us again this year on another PCA SAR Tour to the Grand Canyon. We will leave Tucson Thursday 9/1 and drive to Williams where we will stay overnight at the GC Railway Hotel. The following morning 9/2 we board the train for our trip to the Grand Canyon. We return to Williams on 9/3 and depart for home on 9/4.

4-day, 3-night Itinerary

Day One Thursday 9/1/22

Arrive at the Grand Canyon Railway & Hotel in Williams, AZ

• Dinner (Included)
• Stay overnight at the Grand Canyon Railway & Hotel

Day Two Friday 9/2/22

• Breakfast (Included)
• Wild West Show before the train departs at the Williams Depot
• Train travel in Luxury Dome class of service from Williams, AZ to the Grand Canyon with entertainment from strolling musicians & personalized service and insider knowledge from your Passenger Service Attendant
• Arizona Sunset Motor Coach Tour – 2 hours Depart 4:50 pm
• Stay overnight at El Tovar Hotel
• Dinner at the El Tovar Restaurant

Day Three Saturday 9/3/22

• Train travel in Luxury Parlor class of service with a Steam Engine from the Grand Canyon to Williams, AZ with entertainment from strolling musicians & personalized service and insider knowledge from your Passenger Service Attendant
• Dinner (Included)
• Stay overnight at the Grand Canyon Railway & Hotel

Day Four Sunday 9/4/22

• Breakfast (Included)
• Explore Williams
• Depart

Dinner (El Tovar) 9/2 and breakfast and lunch 9/3 are on your own. Other meals are included in the package as shown above. The dome car has snacks on the way up as does the parlor car on the return. Cost is approximately $1,600 for a couple for the three nights depending on AAA discount and National Park Pass. The train going up on Friday is pulled by a diesel electric engine but the train on the return Saturday hopefully will be pulled by a steam engine. Space is very limited and Steam Saturday always has a big draw.

Space is very limited on the Luxury Dome Car and at the El Tovar Hotel, so if you are interested, do not delay is booking.  Their cancellation policy is very good (a least 3 days prior to departure date) so don’t worry if something happens and you have to cancel.    If El Tovar is not available, alternate hotel would be Kachina Lodge.

Third – Please email Ed Koharik with your reservation number and last 4 numbers of your credit card so that we can get us seated together.

With COVID- 19 guidelines from Pima County and PCA tour events will be conducted with proper precautions to protect everyone's health. Hands should be washed and or sanitized if participants share objects.   Some venues may require you wear a mask.  If you don't want to wear a mask or follow social distancing requirements please don't sign-up for the Tour.
