PCA-SAR Kitt peak Tour

Kitt Peak National Observatory

About this event

Kitt peak is a world famous and important research site, and occupies an important location for the Toronto O’ dam people. We will travel East and South of Tucson for a docent lead tour of the Nicholas U. May all 4- meter Telescope. The tour is scheduled from 12:30 to 2:30. Lunch will be a picnic before the tour. This event is limited to 25, without a limit for cars. Remember, this facility has an elevation of 6886 feet, so it is much cooler than Tucson at 2643 feet. I will send an email three days before the event with the start time, and location. Please call me with questions. Even if you are not an astronomy nerd as I am, this will be a fun and educational event. Plus, the drive up the mountain is really cool.
