Canyon Drive to Vasquez Rocks & Picnic (socially distanced)

PCA Los Angeles is hosting a scenic drive through one of our favorite canyon routes in the Castaic Lake area, with a picturesque stop at Vasquez Rocks for lunch.

September weather in Southern California is usually excellent, so when better to have an outdoor, socially-distanced picnic set amongst our beautiful LA mountains with some friends? Join us for a fun-filled day of driving through the canyons with a stop for lunch — food will be catered on a pre-order basis and members have the option to dine on park tables or use their wings as picnic tables (encouraged and preferred!).

There will be a short section of dirt on the road to Vasquez Rocks. We have made this trip with low clearance 911s and a 918 before without problems.

Note: facemasks and social distancing are mandatory when you are outside of your vehicle. We will follow the California COVID-19 guidelines for campgrounds and outdoor recreation.

We will hold a “Best Wing / Picnic Table” competition and want you to be creative -- bring a tablecloth, tableware, picnic basket, matching accessories, etc. and of course, your A-game. We will photograph the best picnic setups and vote on a winner. Prize included!

Registration for this event is required by Thursday, 9/17/2020, along with the number of your guests.

Please note which lunch option you would prefer, and if you have any dietary requests (vegetarian, gluten-free) as we will submit orders a few days in advance.
