About this event
California Inland Region’s next driving event will take us back to the scenic SoCal coastline — this time we're winding our way to Malibu!
Participants will drive their Porsches on some of the most notable roads in Southern California. The route will include views of pastoral valleys, coastal breezes, and the Pacific Coast Highway. The drive will conclude at Paradise Cove Beach Cafe, where lunch will be served on the beachside patio.
The Drive: The meeting point is at 8:30 AM in Calabasas along the 101 freeway for a brief break, fuel top-off, and drivers meeting. The route will feature a mix of local scenery and winding roads. There will be a break along the route before continuing through the Santa Monica mountains and south along Highway 1, finishing at Paradise Cove Beach Cafe.
*Drive directions and meeting location will be sent to participants a few days before the event.
Lunch at Paradise Cove Beach Cafe: Lunch will be served on the patio with views of the Pacific Ocean. A variety of breakfast and lunch menu items are available. Payment will be settled at the restaurant rather than pre-paid.
Note for parking during lunch. Paradise Cove Beach Cafe has parking on-site and there will be a charge of $15 / car for parking up to 4 hours. Payment will be settled directing at the parking lot rather than pre-paid.
Space is limited to 25 for lunch and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, with a waitlist if necessary. Members who wish to join the drive but not the lunch should indicate their preference to assist with reservation management.
We look forward to seeing both new and familiar faces at this event.

Group Drive Safety Guidelines:
- Safety is our first priority! Turn on your headlights and remember our group drives are not track events.
- Drive aware. Road hazards such as road debris/rocks can be kicked up by other cars and trucks unexpectedly. Remember that your PCA friend’s car, that they love as well, is behind you. Bicycling groups, wildlife, and slow moving utility vehicles are commonly encountered on weekends and in rural areas where we’re headed.
- Please ensure you and your vehicles are tour-ready prior to departure: sufficient fuel, oil and coolant levels are topped up, healthy and properly inflated tires, bio break etc.
- Once we are established on the drive, stay in your position relative to the other vehicles in the group. Maintain a safe nose-to-tail following distance from the vehicle ahead of you. No distracted driving, please.
- Stay aware of the lead vehicle. The route may have to be changed due to traffic or road conditions/closures. Stay flexible!
- If you experience a mechanical issue/failure and must pull over, the sweeper will advise the group and peel off with stranded member(s) for assistance and advise the group of status. No member will be left stranded.
- Often we experience little/no cellular phone coverage along our twisty road adventures. Our group utilizes handheld UHF two-way radios for communication and safety. If you have a radio, pay attention and listen for any updates that may be broadcast. If you have your own UHF radio, please tune to channel 5-5; if we need to change channels due to interference, a new channel number will be broadcast to everyone in our group. VIsit this member discussion to learn more about UHF Radios.
- As always, club veterans are at your services for any questions or concerns you may have.
