About this event
Anyone with a car can enjoy the tracks and facilities of NOLA Motorsports Park. Whether you are a race fan, driver or rider, we have a place for you. NOLA Motorsports Park offers everyone the ability to use our tracks for recreational or competitive use. On our typical automobile open track day, you will get five 20-minute sessions on track in one run group based on your overall track experience (novice, intermediate/advanced, race car). We are running an early-bird special of $200.00 (tax included) if you register before midnight Friday January 25th - use the discount code carotdfeb-1-19 - after this date, the cost will be $250.00.
The Novice Run Group has two lead-and-follow sessions and two classroom sessions in the morning. If you do not have verifiable previous solo-driver track experience, you must register for the Novice Run Group.
The Intermediate/Advanced Run Group is for solo qualified drivers and uses standard point-to-pass rules with designated passing zones.
The Race Car Run Group is for race cars only. Drivers must wear full driver safety gear and the sessions are run like a standard race practice session - open passing.
No passengers or coaches are allowed on track during any session.
We will be running the 2.75 mile configuration with the esses in the back. This is the same configuration that the PCA DE event will be using that Saturday and Sunday.
This event not related to the PCA DE - this is a NOLA Motorsports Park held event.
Event requirements
- You must have a valid Driver's License or a competition license to participate.
- You must be at least 18 years of age.
- Event runs rain or shine.
- You must wear closed-toe shoes.
- Convertibles must have factory rollover protection as stated in the vehicle's owner's manual or an SCCA Solo II roll bar. If you are unsure whether your convertible meets this standard, please contact scott@nolamotor.com or j.slane@nolamotor.com
- Pickup trucks, minivans, and SUV's are not permitted.
- No passengers are allowed.
- A tech sheet must be filled out and turned in at the drivers meeting to receive your run group sticker. Automobile Inspection Form NOLA.doc
- If you cannot attend, credit for a future NOLA held track event will be given if an email is sent 24hrs prior to the start of the event. Contact scott@nolamotor.com or j.slane@nolamotor.com. No shows are not given credits or refunds.
