OktoberFAST HPDE and Dinner at the Track
October 2nd & 3rd, 2021 - La Junta Raceway
The Alpine Mountain Region Porsche Club will close its 2021 driving season with a High-Performance Drivers Education event followed by an end-of-season dinner at La Junta Raceway. La Junta’s 1.3-mile 7 turn track is the perfect track for novice and experienced drivers alike! Its low 4000-foot elevation will enhance the power of your sports car. And we expect beautiful early fall weather at our HPDE. Come spend the weekend in La Junta and enjoy the comradery with your fellow Porsche Club members. A track-walk followed by a banquet is included with your registration and will be held at the track on Saturday. The cost is free to all registered participants! Additional dinner tickets can be purchased for $15.
We will be offering a commemorative event long-sleeve t-shirt for purchase. Please choose size and quantity in your registration. The cost is $25. We will have a limited supply on hand at the event for sale.OktoberFAST 21.pdf
Registration closes Monday, September 27th. Be sure to register early! Your priority in being confirmed for an event will depend on the date and time you register. All drivers will be Waitlisted upon registration until the event CDI confirms your driving status and can confirm that an instructor is available if you need one. Solo/Instructed driving status will be at the sole discretion of the AMR CDI Committee. Instruction priority will be given to students who registered for two days.

IMPORTANT: We will be using Speed Waivers for participants to sign remotely. You will receive a link to sign the waivers after registering.
All attendees will be required to follow Federal, State, and Local Government COVID-19 guidelines in effect at the time of the event. Participants and volunteers should stay at home if they are at higher risk for severe illness. Participants that are sick or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath, must stay home.

You must be 18 or older with a valid driver’s license to participate in this event. Your driver’s license must be validated!
National PCA membership number and membership status will be verified as part of the registration process. If you do not include a valid PCA membership number (or forward a pending membership confirmation from PCA to the registrar), a $10 non-member fee will be assessed.
You need to have a Snell-certified SA2010 or M2010 or newer helmet. DOT Motorcycle helmets are not acceptable. Your helmet will need an AMR/RMR sticker. Please bring your helmet with you to registration to be checked and receive a sticker. You will need to wear either cotton long pants and a cotton shirt (long-sleeve or short-sleeve) or FIA or SCI approved racing garments while driving. In addition, you must wear closed toe shoes.
Roll bars or cages are mandatory for all open & semi-open cars without manufacturer’s structural or deploying roll over protection. No trucks, or non-Porsche SUVs.
If you have added a racing-type seat in order to use 5-point, 6-point or 7-point harnesses, you must also have and use a Head and Neck Restraint (HANS) device. PCA Rules are harness expiration dates: 2 years (SFI) and 5 years (FIA). Further, if there is to be a passenger (e.g. instructor), equal protection must be provided and used by the right-seater.
We cannot accommodate two (2) driver cars if both drivers are novice drivers. Also, three (3) driver cars are not allowed. All novice drivers must attend the ground school held on Saturday.
TECH Inspection – Tech inspection must be completed within 4 weeks prior to the event. We highly recommend getting your required Tech Inspection by a professional mechanic and no later than 2 weeks before the event and in case you need time to make repairs. Please make sure you have your tech inspection form filled out and signed by a valid tech shop/inspector and bring to registration. ON SITE TECH INSPECTIONS ARE NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS EVENT
