About this event
Help us run the show, and watch the racing from the best seat in the house!
NorthWest Mini Moto is looking for volunteers to help with our June 4-6 race at MAC Track in McMinnville, Oregon. If you are 18 or older, are able to work outside for most of the day and are mobile, we need your help as a Corner Marshal or other event volunteer.
We offer a travel stipend in the form of cash or race credit, and if you're interested we have several race bikes reserved just for volunteer use - if you work a day for us, you can race a day with us!
Event requirements
Welcome, and thank you for your interest in volunteering with us! No experience is necessary - if you have not worked as a track marshal before, we will pair you with an experienced marshal who will bring you up to speed.
All volunteers must be 18 or older.
For all volunteer positions, please be prepared for a day out in the sun and on the track by bringing the following:
- Long pants
- Closed-toe shoes
- Sun hat
- Sunscreen
- Folding chair
- Snacks
- Any needed medication
NO RED OR YELLOW CLOTHING IS PERMITTED ON TRACK! No red/yellow hats, shirts, jackets, pants, etc, they can be mistaken for a red flag.
You will need to arrive at the track no later than 0815 on Saturday and Sunday, and you should expect to be at the track until at least 1700. Friday volunteers may arrive later if necessary.
LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED - we will order out from a nearby restaurant, and you will be asked in advance or on the day of the race what you would like to order.
WATER, SAFTEY VESTS, PPE, AND RADIOS WILL BE PROVIDED, AS WILL A SHADE STRUCTURE. However, please come prepared for the weather - we will race rain or shine, and our shade structures won't protect you from everything.
All volunteers will be provided with a travel stipend in the form of cash or race credit. Stipends will vary from round to round depending on expected travel costs but will be at least $75 per day cash or one full day of racing (practice, endurance, or sprint races).
CAMPING IS AVAILABLE - MAC Track offers dry camping - water is available from a hose but there are no hookups.
A volunteer-only race bike may be available for use if interested! Please contact nwminimoto@gmail.com for more information.
