We will gather in Los Gatos, just off Hwy 17, near the Saratoga-Los Gatos off-ramp. By 9:30, we will break into groups, then drive up to peak of Mt. Umunhum (40 minutes) - a cold war relic now turned to park. We will take in the view and offer Bio-Breaks for those in need. The views from there are fantastic, so we will soak those in from about 20-minutes. Once we leave the parking lot, the descent takes of down the Southeastern flank with view to the South - the city of Morgan Hill often visible. We drive through the small town of New Almaden and past the New Almaden Quicksilver Mining Museum. Once through town, we head due south, past Calero Reservoir. Back roads guide us toward Morgan Hill and toward out run's end-point - the Uvas Reservoir Parking lot.
