Nemacolin Woodlands Resort

About this event

NCC SPRING TOUR 2015

May 1-3, 2015

This year’s Spring Tour will take place May 1-3, 2015.  Nemacolin Woodland Resort Lodge will serve as home base.  We will visit the Frank Lloyd Wright designed Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob (both are optional).  On Sunday we will visit the Flight 93 Memorial in Shanksville (optional)

This overnight tour will have an optional second night.  The optional second night will allow people time to relax on Friday afternoon after the long drive and give you time to enjoy the resort amenities on Saturday and Sunday morning.

Those of us leaving on Friday, May 1st,  will depart from Frederick, MD at 8 a.m.  Those of you leaving on Saturday, May 2nd, will depart the same starting point at 8 a.m.  Someone will be appointed to handle the drivers’ meeting, answer questions, and hand out extra directions on Saturday.  We will stop for lunch on the way to the resort.  The lunch spot will be the same for the Saturday group as well.  On Saturday evening, we will have a dinner banquet.

Nemacolin Woodland Resort is AAA Five Diamond and Forbes Five Star award winning resort which sits in a 2,000 acre beautiful forested area.  In addition to the internationally acclaimed Woodlands Spa, the resort offers 36-holes of championship golf on two courses - the Pete Dye designed, PGA-tested Mystic Rock and the traditional Links Course.  For shooting, visit the Nemacolin Field Club, featuring the Shooting Academy, an outdoors sporting facility on 140 acres complete with 30-stations, wing shooting, a spacious lodge and Orvis® Endorsed Fly Fishing.

For a more rugged and adventurous experience, try the many offerings of the Adventure Center.  Spend the afternoon or day at our Wildlife Academy, home of the Equestrian Center, animal nursery, animal habitats and educational programs.  Black bears, zebra, buffalo, tigers and hyenas are just some of over 100 animals that currently call Nemacolin home.

For shoppers, there are 14 specialty shops in Heritage Court and throughout the Resort, plus nearby Uniontown boasts the ultimate outdoor store, Woodlands World.
Nemacolin also boasts an impressive collection of restaurants and lounges, including the Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five-Diamond Lautrec, a forward-thinking fine dining experience.  Lautrec received a AAA Five Diamond rating for 2008, 2009 and again for 2010 making it the only such rated restaurant between east coast cities such as Philadelphia, Washington, DC, and New York and Chicago.

Culture is also an experience at Nemacolin.  Enjoy daily art tours of the multi-million dollar Hardy Family Art Collection or Cooking Classes and Wine Tastings in the state-of-the-art Académie du Vin. Register today!  We have limited space available for this tour!
