NASA Mid South presents another event in our 2016 NASA-X autocross championship series.
This is a two day event with points counting towards the year end championship. It will be held at the Millington Regional JetPort in Millington, TN.
The GPS address for the JetPort is 8182 Hornet Ave, Millington, TN 38053. However, that is not the location for the autocross. The easiest thing to do is to input the address in your GPS and instead of turning left off of Navy Road on to Hornet Avenue, continue on Navy Road another quarter mile and turn left on Singleton. Follow Singleton for roughly half a mile until you come to the end of the road. You will see the cones for the Autocross set out on the runway. See the picture above for clarification. If you have any issues, call Shawn on his cell, 901-687-5928. One word of caution, the Millington Police take their speed enforcement seriously. Don't make a donation to them. Also, the City has red light cameras at most of the lights. I do not recommend entering an intersection after the light turns yellow.
Registration options include registering for the autocross for both days, Saturday only, or Sunday only.
For Saturday, Gates open for registration at 8 am. Registration and tech will be from 8:30 am until 10:15 am. Drivers meeting will be at 10:15 am. First car on course should be by 10:30 am. Immediately following the last run on Saturday, the results will be presented, fun runs will be available, and the lie tellin' will commence.
For Sunday, gates open for registration at 9:00 am. Tech, for those who did not attend Saturday, will be from 9:00 am - 10:15 am. Drivers meeting will be at 10:15 am. First car on course should be by 10:30 am.
If you are unsure about which class your car falls in, choose the novice category and email Michael Morris at carlife@aol.com . He will help you class your car and then notify registration which group to put you car in.
We will have great door prizes after Sunday's runs are complete. To be eligible, you must pre-register. You do not have to be present on Sunday to win a door prize.
