About this event
Mt. Hamilton Rally
A Road Rally on Saturday July 29, 2023
The Mt. Hamilton rally is co-hosted by the Diablo Region, the Golden Gate Region, and the Redwood Region of the Porsche Club of America. The rally will explore the back roads of the East Bay with a break at the Lick Observatory atop Mount Hamilton, the highest peak in the San Francisco Bay Area. The start is in Danville and the finish is in Livermore.
This event is open to all rallyists, regardless of PCA membership or make of car driven. All roads are paved, public, and in good condition.
Checkpoints will be GPS located and a smartphone will be required.
Two classes are offered, with no restrictions as to which you may enter:
- Novice: You will be given the exact time you are due at each checkpoint. No calculations will be required.
- Expert: You will be assigned speeds that you should average in order to arrive at the checkpoints on time. Typical time-speed-distance calculations will be necessary. Rally calculators/computers and other rally equipment are all welcome.
The entry fee is $25 per car for PCA members or non-members driving a Porsche, and $30 per car for non-Porsche entries. Both driver and navigator should register, but only one needs to be a PCA member to qualify for the discounted entry fee.
