About this event
Please join Mohawk-Hudson Region (MoHud) SCCA for our first event of the 2018 Solo season. We have partnered with the Empire State Aeroscience Museum (ESAM) to run an autocross event on their site. This event will run over the weekend of June 2nd & 3rd, 2018.
- Saturday, June 2nd: MoHud will hold an autocross "test-n-tune". This is an informal event which allows new and seasoned participants to become familiar with the ESAM site, test their cars and set ups, and for novices (or anyone who is interested), receive some instruction or advice on how to read the cones of a Solo course, how to approach driving and reading a course, and to become a better driver in Solo and on the street.
- Sunday, June 3rd: MoHud will hold our first points event of the 2018 season. This is a formal autocross competition, and will consist of a minimum of 6 timed runs. We will do our best to follow the normal MoHud Solo schedule (see
You may register for either day, or for both days. *** PLEASE NOTE *** Non-members who participate in the Saturday Test-n-tune will be eligible for member pricing for Sunday's Solo event, as your temporary weekend membership will cover both days.
Please make sure you enter the following information to ease your entry into the event:
- Full name
- Year, make, and model of your vehicle (ex. 2013 Ford Focus ST)
- Color of your car
- Solo class your vehicle is eligible to compete in. For classing info, please reference https://www.scca.com/downloads/40392-2018-solo-rules-complete-reduced/download
- Up to 3 preferred numbers within your class. If you were in the Novice class last year, you will not be eligible to run in Novice this season, and your class and number combo from last season may not be available due to someone else already having claimed your previous number in the non-novice class equivalent.
*** The ESAM is a new site for MoHud and we want to make sure we make a good impression with them. Please make sure to be good ambassador of our club and our sport! We are hoping to get permission to run more events at the site if it is as good as we anticipate. ***
