MSSCCA uses the PAX Index for scoring and is broken into 5 Trophy/Championship points groups:
1) CAM/XS Group - Classic American Muscle and Extreme Street
2 )Street Group - All Street classes
3) Street Touring Group - All Street Touring classes
4) Race Tire Group - All remaining classes that do not require 200 tread wear tires
5) Novice Group - Anybody competing that has had 5 or less career autocross events/days anywhere without winning MSSCCA Novice Season Points Championship prior to the 2026 race season. Any racer who begins the 2026 season as a novice will continue the entire season as a novice.
Season Points Championships
Competitors in each of the 5 above listed PAX groups will compete for a Group Season Points Championship. 10 points will be scored for a 1st place driver, 8 for 2nd, 7 for 3rd, 6 for 4th, 5 for 5th, 4 for 6th. 3 points will be scored by any driver who makes at least 1 run at an event and places below 6th. Missed events will be counted as 0 points. At the end of the season the top scoring 75% events will be added together for each driver. (example: highest 8 event scores in a 10 event season) The driver with the highest points in each group is the Champion. Drivers who enter different groups throughout the season will only combine the points within each group not all together in aggregate.(example: street points stay in Street, CAM/XS points stay in CAM/XS)
