Road Trip Series 2022
There's no better way to enjoy your "Ultimate Driving Machine" than to get out on the road. It's even better when you venture out with fellow club members. Summers in Minnesota are brief. Make plans to hit the road and join in the fun!
Leinenkugel Loop - Saturday, May 21, 2022 - 10:00 a.m.
We are headed east on the backroads to Chippewa Falls, WI to visit the Leinenkugel brewery. Founded in 1867, this is the seventh oldest working brewery in the nation. Afterwards, we will dine at the High Shores Supper Club on Lake Wissota (www.highshores.com). For dessert it’s Olson’s Ice Cream in downtown Chippewa Falls- Yum! (www.olsonsicecream.com)
Ride departs from the Becker Furniture parking lot in Woodbury at 10:00 a.m. The address is 10150 Hudson Road. Please plan to arrive by 9:45 a.m. with your gas tank full. We'll have a round of introductions, review the route and hit the road.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
The Leinie Lodge is a great place to visit for free, but if you want to actually tour the brewery, you need to purchase a ticket in advance. The cost is $14.99 per person, which includes a tasting. We should arrive at the Leinie Lodge between 1:15 and 1:30 p.m., so make sure you choose a tour time after that. Tickets can be found at www.leinie.com. Tour capacity is 14 people, so not all of our group will be on the same tour.
Our supper club reservation is for 4:00 p.m., so we should be ready to leave the Leinie Lodge around 3:30 p.m. The supper club reservation for our group is for 32 people. When we meet in Woodbury at 10:00 a.m. I will confirm with you if plan to dine at the supper club
When you register, be sure to add your passengers too. This will help ensure an accurate reservation count for the restaurant.
Please note that the departure location is in Woodbury, not the usual Cottage Grove location.
You may have seen in the club newsletter a "save the date" for this road trip for May 14. Due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts, it has been moved one week later to May 21.
Facebook users, please note that clicking "going" on Facebook is not the same thing as registering for this trip. You need to complete the MotorsportReg registration process to be actually registered.
Thanks!
