Joint ACNA/PCA Driver School at Pitt Race

Pittsburgh International Race Compl

About this event

June 25/26/27 at Pittsburgh International Race Complex. This is a three-day event co-hosted with the Potomac region Porsche Club of America. “Pitt Race” is a world-class facility owned by the same folks who own our beloved VIR. The facilities are top notch, and the track is newly expanded and paved.

This will be a 3-day instructed event! Please note that ACNA run groups will be mapped to PCA run groups based on driver experience and in collaboration with the PCA registrar and Chief Instructor.

COVID-19 UPDATE: We will be strictly adhering to all social distancing policies in place at the time (e.g., masks will be required when outside the car; classrooms will be held outdoors; no congregating in groups greater than 25; no evening happy hours, 6' distance between persons etc.).

Registration Fee: $555 for drivers, $220 for instructors.

DRIVERS AND VOLUNTEERS:  Please stay at home if you are in a higher risk category for severe illness, or if you are sick or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms such as fever, cough or shortness of breath.

GUESTS/MINORS – Guests must be limited to essential crew and volunteers. All attendees must sign the SpeedWaiver. Crew and volunteers will be required to drive through a registration line on Friday morning to obtain a PCA wristband (we will provide more information closer to the event). If a member of your crew is a minor, you must register that minor for the event in MSR and sign the minor waiver on SpeedWaiver. Your signed COVID waiver applies to any minors attending with you. (Track wristbands are usually also given at the front gate.)

TRAILERS / ARRIVAL / GARAGES / CAMPING – Trailer drop-offs begin 6 PM the night before the event, and the gate is open 24 hrs during. When you arrive please find a parking spot in the paddock and remove all loose items from your car. Garages and camping are handled by Pitt Race directly, please contact them at (724) 535-1000.

HELMET / HANS – Per PCA rules, helmets must be worn on track and must be SA2015 or newer! PCA has updated their rules to allow SA2010 for the remainder of 2021. EFFECTIVE July 1, 2018: an approved Head and Neck Restraint System (HANS) device is required when using a harness, and this head and neck restraint device must meet the standards of either SFI 38.1 or FIA 8858.

Lodging choices and visitor information are on the Pitt Race website at https://pittrace.com/visitor-info/

Event requirements

ACNA-PCC will be following the PCA-Potomac DE Tech Inspection requirements including using the PCA Potomac tech inspection form and tech inspection timeline: PCA requires your car to be inspected no more than 30 days prior to the event. Sponsored tech inspections have been canceled for the year due to the COVID pandemic. The inspection still must be done by an auto dealer or recognized service or repair facility and must be documented on the 2020 form, signed and stamped.

Please see these links for tech inspection requirements and forms PCA Potomac Tech Inspection and the PCA Potomac DE overview PCA Potomac DE that will be followed for this joint event.

BEFORE registering, please review PCC's DRIVER EDUCATION EVENT RULES that are otherwise applicable except for the tech inspection as stated above. There is information there for students and refunds/cancelations.

Active Audi Club North America (ACNA) membership is required to participate in this event. If you are not a member, or your membership expires prior to the start of the event, you will not be able to register. Please visit audiclubna.org/join to join or renew. If you are a new member, you will receive an email with credentials to login to your account and retrieve your member number (you can also use the Audi Club app). Once you have your member number, please follow these instructions to add it to your profile.

Never been to an ACNA Driver Safety and Education event and want to get a better idea of what it is all about? Check out this FAQ article previously published in the Quattro Quarterly. Note, each event is unique, but the article will hopefully answer most questions and give an idea of what to expect.

Event Specific Info Packet: Specific Pre-Event Packets and Medical forms will be posted ~4 weeks prior to the event listing on the PCC website. Once available, download, and READ CAREFULLY as they contain important info on tech inspection requirements (PCA Form and inspection timeline stated above), waiver forms, on-site registration location, etc. It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to review the packet and have the appropriate forms completed. If needed, other updates will be posted here, on our Facebook page, Twitter @PCCACNA or via email to registered attendees.

Cancellation Policy: Due to COVID-19, we have added flexibility for you to cancel with no charge up to 48 hours prior to the event start date.
