IIRA Presents: IceCross

This is an autocross event held on an IIRA ice track. One car at a time will be sent and timed, and fastest single times over the day will be the winners.

On the preceding Saturday, IIRA is hosting wheel to wheel racing and open track time.  Registration for that event can be found here.

All events are subject to ice and weather conditions. YOU WILL ONLY BE CHARGED FOR THE EVENT AFTER IT HAS HAPPENED, so you will not pay when you register. Your credit card on file will charged on the Monday after the event takes place.

Location: South Lindstrom Lake in Chisago City, MN

Directions: Enter the lake using the boat launch at Russel Park on South Lindstrom Lake in Chisago City.

• From highway 8: take a right off highway 8 at the Stoplight at Shoquist Lane. Take a left onto Stinson Ave followed by a right onto Aldrid Ave. Follow that to the boat launch onto the lake

• Follow the plowed path to the track on the far east side of the bay

Entry costs:

• $60 entry fee
• Some form of IIRA license is required to participate. The following options are available:
  • $15 for a Sunday-only license
  • $80 for annual license (available here)
  • $45 for weekend license (if you're also participating on Saturday)

Schedule: Note that this week we will start an hour earlier and skip the lunch break! We want to get more racing in before the temps start to rise.

• 7:00 AM: Staff arrives on site – starts setup
• 8:00 AM: Registration and tech opens
• 8:45 AM: Driver's meeting, parade lap
• 9:00 AM: First car off
• 10:30 AM: Switch heats
• 12:00 PM: First run group second heat
• 1:30 PM: Second run group second heat
• 2:00 PM: Event results posted
• 3:05 PM: Event complete, take down/pack up
