NASCC Winter Driving and Ice Race School -  Classroom- 6:15 pm Friday evening January 16th & On Ice 8:20 - 4 pm January 17th, 2026

Sign up for Winter Driving and Ice Race School.  The NASCC Winter Driving and Ice Race School emphasizes winter driving and ice racing skills.   We will have a live classroom session on Friday starting at 6:15 pm, and on track events on the lake on Saturday, Jan 17th, from 8:20 to ~ 4 pm.  Both events are mandatory for the school.

School only entry fee is $250 with an Early bird discount of $25 if registering before Dec 15.

Rookie Ice Race Packages available for racers to save $265 to $290 on season racing costs and includes a NASCC Club Membership.  Package 1 signs you up for 1 race class, Package 2 for 2 race classes. Most Chevette drivers race in two classes, so if you are doing Chevettes please seriously consider the two class package.

- Registrants will not be charged until a few days before event starts.

- If a Rookie Package registrant already has purchased a NASCC Club Membership we will make an adjustment on the price.

- Rookie Package Club Membership can not be combined with family memberships

Event requirements

Car & Driver Requirements:
- Student must hold a valid drivers or learners license
- Student must supply their own helmet, Snell SA 2005, SA 2010, SA 2015, SA 2020 or type M (motorcycle)
- (Racing requires a Snell SA 2015 helmet or newer, but to take the school the 2005 & 10 are acceptable)
- Student must submit a completed tech form via email, or through the on-line form registered students will eventually be sent.
- (Student must supply their own car, with at least two seats, and seatbelts for the instructor equivalent to those for the student)
- Minors must have both parents sign a “minor waiver” in advance and send via email

- Car must be properly maintained and safe
- Car must be emptied of all loose items in cabin and trunk

- Convertibles & Cabriolets with factory installed roll over protection are not allowed, unless they have installed a 4 point aftermarket roll bar.
- Pickup trucks will not be accepted
- SUV’s with low center of gravity will be accepted, please check with registrar
- A race car is not required to take the school
