COVID-19 Preparation at our 2022 Ice Driving Event
Your personal health and safety as a participant in this event are the utmost importance to us. If you are feeling sick, or have a respiratory illness do not come to the event!
We are designing the registration, meetings/classrooms, and on-ice instruction to comply with all necessary local and state restrictions (if any are still in place) and with US Federal, Health Canada, and CDC COVID 19 guidelines that apply, to ensure the complete safety of our participants and staff.
In addition, there may be special restrictions and guidelines we will need to meet for the Safety Protocols in place in Nieder Park, in Hustisford, WI, and on Lake Sinissippi. As Covid 19 protocols have been constantly in flux over the past few months please be assured that we will provide you with the most up-to-date information you will need in a timely fashion prior to the event.
Masks will be required at all meetings and gatherings, and social distancing will be required.
Ice racers from the Wisconsin Auto Group and instructors from our chapter will instruct members and guests on correct procedures of car control on ice. We will meet at the Town of Hustisford's Village Hall (N3906 County Rd. EE), at 8:00 A.M. for refreshments, registration, introductions and orientation. From there it will be on to the lake for the “hands on” instruction. At lunch time, we will return to the Village Hall where lunch will be served. Lunch is included in your registration fee. The afternoon continues with more driving exercises on the lake, concluding around 4:00 P.M. This is not a high speed event! No helmets required!!!
This event is open to members and friends – and we encourage parents to bring their driver age children who have a valid driver's license or a learner's permit.
You don’t have to drive an Audi to participate, but you need a vehicle that’s in good working condition! Snow tires (4 of them) are recommended for all cars participating in the event. At a minimum, cars must have all-season tires.
The school is limited to 40 people, so an early registration will hold your spot. The cost is $65.00 per person, which includes lunch and compared to other ice driving schools is a real deal. If you have any questions, contact Mike Slagle at 262.488.9005 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
