The new date for the factory tour is November 4, 2022 (Friday) begining at 8:15 am.

The tour is about one mile and over 1 ½ hours.  It covers the body and interior assembly as well as the mating of mechanical components (engine. motor, transmission, battery pack, suspension, brakes, wheels) and the interior and glass.

Members enjoy shopping in the new Brand Immersion Center which was re-built in the last several years.  

This is a very historic opportunity to visit the factory as they begin production of the electric vehicles along with the internal combustion hybrids that we are familiar with.

We will also have the opportunity to use the factory delivery area for photography where everyone will be able to have a photo made with their car.  This will be a great memento for those who bring their ML, GL, GLE, GLS, 2014-2021 C-class, or R-class that were all made here. 

Each person must register for the factory tour.

 

The new date for StarDrive is Oct 31- 3 November. 

StarDrive will begin in Winchester, Va to “The Back of the Dragon”, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Silver Star Restoration, “The Tail of the Dragon”, and Little River Canyon, and end in Birmingham, AL.

This new date will allow you to see fall colors peaking at the lower elevations and the southern part of the drive through spectacular roads with breathtaking views.  We have rearranged the discounted hotel rates for each night.

Weather will still be pleasant: 60’s-80’s days with 40’s-60’s at night.  Dress in layers, as elevation will vary from 600 feet to 6600 feet (200-2000 meters).

 

 

                          

We have designed commemorative knit shirts.  These are high quality, no wrinkle cotton that you can enjoy for years.

The curving logo that is the roofline of the visitor center represents the hilly terrain of both Stuttgart and Alabama

To our Alabama -Northwest Florida section it also represents the emerald colored water of our southern coast.

They are available in men’s and women’s sized and we will have them at the drive and at the hotel where you will also pick up your wristband i.d. for the factory tour and the Barber Museum.

Hotel note: While the Qulaity and Day's Inn are older properties. they are clean and sanitary.  You will have dificulty and pay much more in these destination locations, but there are also Hampton Inn type places in Winchester, VA and Asheville, NC: Count on $100 more per night.  We negotiated better rates in Dobson, NC and Birmingham, AL because we will be in each at off peak times.
