This is Event #7 of 2026 for GCAC.
Registration may be canceled at any time prior to processing. Credit cards are charged on Friday morning (the day before the event), after which all entries are final and non-refundable.

Novice School is available but limited to 10 drivers. You MUST add your name to the list with the gate attendant. Simply registering for the event as a novice does NOT provide entry to the novice school. You may attend novice school a max of 2 times.
Facility Noise Ordinance: All vehicles must adhere to a sound limit of 100 dB or lower. Refer to the "Noise Ordinance / Regulations" section for compliance details.
Weekend Event Formats
- Saturday (Token Format) events utilize a non-expiring token system to determine total driver runs. Registered entrants receive an initial allotment of three (3) tokens. Drivers may secure two (2) additional tokens per completed 20-minute work assignment. Track is hot from 10:00 AM until concluding between 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM, subject to course-worker availability.
- Sunday (Run/Work Group Format) events utilize a traditional run/work group rotation. Random group assignments (typically 3 to 4 heats) are established following the close of morning check-in. Individual driver run counts are scaling and dependent on total event entries. Event runs will range between a minimum of 4 runs and a maximum of 6 runs per driver.
**Note for new participants (Sunday): Buckingham Airfield features 1-mile course layouts with average lap times ranging from 60 to 75 seconds, delivering significantly more track time than traditional autocross venues.
As a general rule, Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs), crossovers, and trucks are NOT permitted to participate in autocross. However, in accordance with SCCA guidelines, certain exceptions are made for select modern vehicles. Drivers must verify their vehicle's eligibility using the Classifier tool (https://www.scca-classifier.com/a/index.html) before attending."

Gulfcoast Autocrossers is dedicated to providing technical driving events focused on precision and skill development at Buckingham Airfield. To ensure an orderly and controlled event day, all drivers, volunteers, and spectators are required to understand and adhere to these club regulations. Our Rules
- All attendees must attend the Drivers Meeting to be eligible to participate or observe the day’s events.
- Course-working is mandatory for all registered drivers.
- Drivers must adhere to all regulations in the “Driver / Safety Requirements” section.
- All vehicles must pass Tech Inspection before being allowed on track.
- Refer to “Vehicle Requirements” for complete details.
- Drivers must not exceed the speed limit of 15 mph through the grid and paddock area.

- All mobile and recording devices must be securely mounted to vehicle.
- Mobile and recording devices must not be held or propped up while the vehicle is in motion.
- All event attendees—including drivers, volunteers, and spectators—assume full financial responsibility for any damage resulting from their actions.
- Drivers, volunteers, guests and spectators are expected to act in a respectful, safe, and orderly manner at all events.
- Pick up your trash and any loose items you have during and after the event. Place empty water bottles into designated trash bins or in coolers (course workers).
- The use of DRONES, E-bikes, and Onewheel is strictly prohibited on the property.
- Bicycles, scooters, e-scooters, skateboards, and skates are ONLY allowed on course walks.
- Guests and spectators are NOT ALLOWED to “ride along” on track. ONLY registered drivers are permitted to “ride along.”
- The use of drugs and alcohol is strictly prohibited. Automatic dismissal of all current and future events.
Vehicle Requirements
The following should be completed before entering Tech Inspection:
- Numbers and car class should be affixed to the car on both sides.
- All loose items must be removed from the car and/or safely secured
- Wheels must be safely affixed. All studs and lug nuts must be present and functional.
- Seats and seat belts are safely mounted and in good condition
- Tires have visible tread remaining and no cords showing
- No fluid leaks that could spill on the grid or on course
- Brakes in good condition, with adequate pedal pressure and no fluid leaks
- Wheel bearings, shocks, steering, suspension in good condition with no perceptible play
- Exhaust(s) must exit behind the driver or to the side of the vehicle.
- Mufflers with baffles are required to keep your car at a reasonable sound level.
- The use of tape to create numbers and car class is strictly prohibited
Driver / Safety Requirements
- Must have a valid driver’s license or permit (except for kart drivers).
- All drivers are required to sign the waiver and release of liability.
- Helmets for all vehicle occupants must be in good, functional condition, fit the wearer properly, and meet all current club compliance standards.
- Full face or modular helmets shall be worn while competing in an open wheel car, formula car, or kart. Face shield, goggles, or similar face protection (conventional eyeglasses are not sufficient) shall be worn while competing in any other vehicle with less than the standard-size windshield.
- Closed-toed shoes must be worn.
Noise Ordinance / Regulations
Due to the proximity of residential dwellings adjacent to the runway, mufflers are strictly required for all vehicles at this location, and a maximum sound limit of 100 dB is enforced. Vehicles suspected of exceeding acceptable noise levels will be subject to a decibel test conducted approximately 60 feet from the rear of the car. Vehicles registering at 101 dB or higher will receive one warning and an opportunity to correct the issue. If a follow-up test yields a reading at or above 101 dB, the vehicle will be barred from participating in further heats until compliance is verified. Continued non-compliance will result in the forfeiture of all remaining runs and event registration fees.
**Failure to follow these rules may result in dismissal, removal, and/or a permanent ban from future events. Gulfcoast Autocrossers reserves the right to update or amend policies and site rules at the discretion of our board members and/or hosting facility management.
