Fun Run to Weeping Radish Brewery

 

Join us on Saturday October 4th, for a FUN RUN from Windsor, VA (just west of Suffolk) to the Weeping Radish Brewery in Currituck, NC (on 158 towards the Outer Banks) where we will get a tour of the brewery and have dinner in the on site restaurant. 

We will meet at the Burger King / Exxon Station at  59 West Windsor Blvd., Windsor, VA  23487 phone (757) 242-3950 at 12:30 PM for a briefing and driver's meeting before heading out for an approx. 2.5 hour scenic drive on some twisty roads in Suffolk and Currituck Counties.  Ed Merry, First Settlers' unofficial "master of the twisty road," already has the route planned.

The fun run will end at the Weeping Radish Brewery 6810 Caratoke Hwy, Grandy NC 27939, where we will get a tour of the brewery from the resident brewmaster and then have an early dinner with local produce and fresh meats from the butchery.  The Weeping Radish also sells their beer by the case so you can take some home.  After dinner, everyone can make their way home on their own.

There is a nominal $10 charge per car for the fun run.  Dinner at the Weeping Radish and provisions for the road will be pay as you go.

We specialize in German style lagers and all of our beers adhere to the Reinheitsgebot  purity law of 1516, ensuring only hops, malt, yeast and water are used to make beer - no additives or chemicals.
