About this event
Each year, SCCA encourages us to dedicate one event to support the charity of our choice. For 2018, we have chosen VETMotorsports as our 2018 Solo Charity.
There are 2.8 million post-9/11 combat veterans in the U.S. Today, 22 of them will take their own lives every day.
The mission of VETMotorsports is to stem this plague by involving at-risk veterans in motorsports, where they can experience the same rush of adrenaline, teamwork and close friendships that we enjoy.
VETMotorsports holds regular events in Austin and San Antonio. Hopefully some of our members have meet their participants and see how the events positively affect the participants.
The SCCA Foundation and regional SCCA clubs have partnered with VETMotorsports to get these veterans to our Solo events. 100% of our donations will go to lodging, rental cars, food and other expenses to bring veteran men and women to our events.
Funds raised will go to support our veterans who wish to join us. If you’d like to make a further donation, we’ll also collect money at the drivers’ meeting and encourage you to visit VETMotorsports.org to learn more. Thank you in advance for your support!
This will also be the weigh in for the Ditch the Spare Tire weight loss competition during the off season. Yes, that means over the holidays!!! Make sure you weigh in if you want to participate. You could win a year of entries for next year.
We strongly encourage pre-registering, however there will be walk up registration allowed. Pre-registering saves you $5, and lets you skip the lines in the morning so you can use that time for course walking, getting your car tech'd, or grabbing some breakfast. It also helps us plan a better event for you!
Event requirements
Please be sure to bring your drivers license and SCCA membership card to the event. If you are not a member, register using the Non-Member button and you will be assigned a weekend membership for the event. The fee you pay as a non-member ($15) can be applied toward annual membership dues - you can apply up to 2 weekend membership fees toward your annual membership.

7:30am - 8:30am.... Registration & Tech Inspection Open
8:00am (approx)..... Course open for walking
8:30am (approx)..... Novice Walk Thru
9:00am (approx)..... Mandatory Drivers Meeting
9:30am (approx)..... 1st heat Drivers in Grid, 1st heat Workers on course, First Car Out!
If this will be your first event with Texas Region SCCA, please be at the site by 7:30am! This gives you time to get your car through Tech Inspection & have plenty of time to walk the course.
Everyone on site MUST sign the insurance waiver & wear a wristband. Minor waivers will be available for anyone under 18 accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
