DMS Time Trials Newb School & Practice Day - A beginner school & practice day for the StratoCross & StratoAttack competitions.
This is the absolute best bang for the buck "performance mod" you can do to get faster this season!
Half the evening is spent going through the basics along with one on one time with an instructor to help you get up to speed! The last half of the evening is open practice on an combined Autocross & Track Sprint course. You can expect to leave this event feeling confident in coming out to your first competition, along with learning new driving skills that will make you more competitive this season!
Starting at 5:30pm we will go through the basics of how these competitions work along with some tech talk in how to get yourself & your car ready. Followed by a course walk through a short StratoCross course with explanations on how to navigate each obstacle you will encounter. After, low speed "follow the leader" practice runs will be done to let you get a feel for the course. Followed by runs taken at your own pace with an instructor.
Later on, the course will be changed to a combined Autocross & Track Sprint Course with a few more "follow the leader" runs followed by runs at your own pace with an instructor.
The last half of the evening will be open practice on the combined course for everyone. The timing system will be setup, but times will not be recorded for later viewing.
This event is limited to 30 drivers, with priority given to Newb School participants & volunteers. Any spots available 5 days before this event will be open to any experienced driver (have participated in more than 2 events) to register for to get in some practice for a discounted price. Practice starts shortly after 7:30 pm
Volunteer positions for driving instructors and cone chasers are available.

Practice Only - $68 (Experienced drivers only. Spots open May 10th)

Refunds for cancelation available up to 5 days before this event (May 10), no refunds will be given after.

- A mechanically sound car with a passenger seat
- A Snell or ECE certified motorsports helmet
- Show up before 5:30pm and be ready to have fun!
Event requirements
- Suv’s, trucks, vans and other high center of gravity vehicles are prohibited for safety reasons. Vehicles track width must be greater than it's height. (Street trucks are allowed)
- Have a structure and bodywork that surrounds and protects the driver at least to their waist level when seated in their normal driving position.
- Performance brake pads & brake fluid is highly recommended
- Exhaust noise level less than 94dbA from 100 feet away
- No fluid leaks that will drop oil or antifreeze on the track
- All loose items must be removed from the vehicle.
- 3 point seat belt at minimum
- A drivers license
- A mechanically sound car with a passenger seat
