The Dark Skies in Taos event will take place Friday, May 15 to Sunday May 17, 2026.  If you are registering for this event, you should have already booked your trailer at Hotel Luna Mystica.  You are responsible for your reservation there; and they will probably sell out.  There is a group "bring your own" picnic Friday night at the Luna Mystica campgrounds. During the day on Saturday, there are optional activities - an informal drive-out, a guided tour of Taos Earthships for $22, or a personal day in Taos.  Saturday night, you are on your own for dinner; so invite a few friends or enjoy a quiet dinner by yourself in one of the many great restaurants in Taos. Just be sure to be back at Luna Mystica by 7:30 for the start of our stargazing party.   Colin Nicholls, PhD, and faculty at UNM Taos, will be presenting a brief overview of what we will see Saturday night before we look through telescopes at the real thing. Sunset is at 8:03 pm that night; so we will leave for the viewing location at that time.
