What is Ice-X?

Ice-X is a form of automotive ice racing, but instead of racing wheel to wheel, it’s a race against the clock for the quickest time.  Ice-Rally takes place on a frozen lake, with cones outlining a “Road Course” style circuit.  Any 4-wheel car, truck, or van is eligible to compete (lifted vehicles please contact us before registering).  SXS, ATV's, motorcycles, and snowmobiles are not allowed to compete. There are several classes based on chassis setup (AWD, FWD, & RWD) and tire type (Winter or Studded Tire).  Ice-Rally is the best “bang for your buck,” netting you the most seat time for your dollar.  It will teach you to drive at the limits of traction which will increase driver’s skills.  All that is needed to compete is a car, a DOT helmet, and the entry fee.

Cost is $35 to participate.

UNLIMITED STUDS ARE NO LONGER ALLOWED!  This rule was announced a few years ago in order to warn people.  Additionally, the Spec Stud rules have been updated; however, if anyone built spec studs according to our Version 1 rules, they will be allowed this year in a different class.  The current rules for Spec Studs are the Version 2 rules.  Follow that link above to find more information.

Note: Tractionized winter tires are prohibited from the winter tire class and must run in the Spec Stud V1 class.

Registration YOU MUST REGISTER ONLINE - there are no on-site registrations taken!  Event is limited to 50 registered drivers.  If the event is full do not show up the day of the event and expect to get in!

Check-In starts at 9:00am - EVERYONE MUST CHECK IN at the timing/registration vehicle.
You must check in BEFORE 10:00am or you will be charged a $10 late fee.

We will aim for the following times.....

Event Schedule:
Registration/Check In - 9am -10am
Practice runs: 9:15am-10am (must check-in first)
Drivers Meeting: 10:15 am
First Car Out: 10:30 am
Close Track: 3pm*

*Event End time is approximate. The event will be over once all competitors have completed their runs.

REMEMBER:  All ice events are TENTATIVE!  We cannot predict nor control Mother Nature.  We will check the ice the night before the event.  If we feel the ice is not safe to hold an event, we will cancel on short notice.  We will TRY to give as much notice as we can, though.
