Event requirements
REQUIRED:
Each driver is responsible for their own safety equipment, inspection, maintenance, and insurance of vehicle. MUST check in, wear both wristbands, attend driver's meeting, and obey rules of track and starter control staff.
A well prepared and safe vehicle. SAFE preparation includes, but not limited to NO fluid leaks, good brakes, etc... SEE starcarsports_selftech.pdf FOR OTHER ITEMS TO CHECK. Tow hook or tow point you would feel comfortable with in case of an off-road excursion.
Excellent Tire Condition and/or Extra Tires we suggest contacting the manufacturer for recommended race track pressures. These are NOT the pressures on the side of the tires. Nor are they the pressures cited in your owner's manual.
Proper driving gear: HELMET Snell or DOT 2010 or newer. M or SA Required for track use.
SA-2010 is the current helmet standard for competitive automotive sports. This standard includes tests for impact, penetration by projectiles, chemical resistance, fire resistance, and ease of removal.
M-2010 is the current helmet standard for use in motorcycling. Many auto racing sanctions and tracks allow the use of M rated helmets by their competitors, but keep in mind that M rated helmets are not designed for the rigors of auto racing and do not posses the impact and fire retardant properties of an SA rated helmet. We highly recommend the use of SA rated helmets for auto racing even if an M helmet is legal in your sanction or class.
Driving suit or long sleeve cotton shirt and pants. Comfortable closed-toe flat soled shoes.
