Cooking on the Plains!
July 18, 19 at High Plains Raceway near Byers, Colorado
Have you filled your summer calendar with plans for you getting your fix of fun with your car and Porsche buddies? If not, we would love for you to join us at High Plains Raceway for a sunny, fun and exciting Driver Education. We hope you will add our event to your fun calendar for either weekend days or both days.
Not only will there be sun and car fun, there will be great instruction available for novices to advanced drivers, lots of safe and uncrowded track time on HPR’s challenging turns and elevation changes, and a delicious BBQ at the track Saturday evening. Not to mention relaxing with your favorite people with your favorite German beverage!
The event is open to all makes and models, but convertibles must have rollover protection and the Porsche Cayenne and Macan are the only allowed SUVs.

This Event will be using Deferred Billing, if you are paying with a credit card it will not be charged until Tuesday, July 14, 2015.

Gates open at 5:00 PM Friday night
Registration opens at 7:00 AM Saturday and Sunday
Mandatory all drivers’ meeting at 8:00 AM,(each day) first time drivers' meeting following the drivers' meeting. (each day)
Location: High Plains Raceway, 17 miles east of Byers on US-36 (Deer Trail)

Event requirements
National PCA membership number and membership status will be verified as part of the registration process. If you do not include a valid PCA membership number (or forward a pending membership confirmation from PCA to the registrar), a $10 non-member fee will be assessed.
You must be 18 or older with a valid driver's license to participate in this event. Your driver's license will be checked at registration!
You must have a Snell-certified SA2005 or M2005 or newer helmet. You must wear long pants and long sleeve shirt (made of natural fibers) and closed toe shoes while driving. Helmets will be checked at Pre-Tech or Tech at the Track. Your helmet will need an RMR/PCA sticker. A limited number of loaner helmets are available.
No convertibles or open cars without roll bars, trucks, or non-Porsche SUVs.
We cannot accomodate two (2) driver cars if both drivers are novice drivers and attending their first DE event. Also, three (3) driver cars are not allowed.
Attendance at RMR DEs at HPR will be limited to a total of 135 drivers per day, including up to 30 Novice and Beginner drivers depending on the number of Instructors registered. To implement this, everyone registering for the DE will be WAITLISTED, subject toCONFIRMATION BY THE CDIS.
Your priority in being confirmed for an event will depend on the date and time you register. When an event fills up, further priority will be given to PCA members.
Pre-techs will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at the following locations:
- Poudre Sports Car in Fort Collins 5:30 - 7:00 pm
- Simple Automotive Solutions in Boulder 6:00 - 7:00 pm
- Prestige Imports in Denver 6:00 - 7:00 pm
Bring your helmet to Pre-Tech!
Lodging is available in Byers at the Longhorn Budget Host Motel contact # 303-822-5205.
Lodging is also available at the Byers Inn. Rates are $80. single occupancy and $95. double occupancy. Rooms have a private bath and a continental breakfast is included. Rooms are also available in private homes. Rates are $70 single and $85 double. These are either a shared or private bath. A continental breakfast is also included.
