Board the Lady of the Lake, historic boat, for a Private Dinner Party.  Soft drinks served on the boat, but bring your own beer and/or wine if you wish.  No corking fee.

Tour chair note: This is the second PNWR multi-day tour to eastern Washington in the past two years and offers several activity options throughout the weekend.  It is initially limited to 50 cars based on the number of rooms we were able to reserve and the number of people we are committed for at both the Friday night dinner at Campbell's Resort and the Saturday night dinner cruise on Lake Chelan. Only register for this tour if you are committed to attending.  Thanks.

Details:

Friday, October 9: 

  •  Starting Point is the Safway grocery in Redmond, 17246 Redmond Way, Redmond, WA 98052
  •  8:00 AM Meet, mingle, and sign waivers, 8:30 AM Driver's Meeting, 9:00 AM Group 1 departs, others leave in 10 minute intervals
  • Travel the scenic Stevens Pass Highway, climbing through evergreen forests to the 4,0 61-foot summit and on towards Leavenworth. Pass through the densely forested, glacier-carved mountain terrain on the eastern slopes of the Cascade Range. However, the groups will take an alternate route to the north through Plain, WA on some twisty roads prior to rejoining Hwy 2 heading east. There will be a group lunch at Wildflour Restaurant near the Kahler Athletic Club and golf course enroute to Plain.  Dip into the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest before continuing through the Wenatchee River Valley full of orchards, vineyards, and dotted with quaint towns.. When you reach the Confluence of the Columbia River drive through the Entiat Valley near Rocky Reach Dam towards beautiful Lake Chelan.
  • Check-in at the Historic Campbell's Waterfront Resort welcoming guests since 1901, on Lake Chelan, a stunning 50-mile-long glacial lake where the Cascade Mountains meet Eastern Washington’s fruit basket.
  • Take a 5 min walk to the Rocky Pond Vineyard Tasting Room for a wine tasting, with Winemaker and Co-President Elizabeth Keyser-Hadley.  Rocky Pond Estate Winery is a critically acclaimed winery, making award winning wines from the Rocky Reach & Lake Chelan AVAs.
  • Return to Campbell's Resort for a Private sit-down Dinner Party, featuring a delicious meal of Cherry slow-cooked Brisket and Cedar Salmon with scratch-made sides, music and homemade gourmet deserts, including scratch bean-to-bar chocolates by Shawna's Sugar Shack.  Tea and coffee included.  No host bar.

Saturday, October 10: 

  • Meet at Chelan Walmart, 108 N. Apple Blossom Dr, Chelan, WA 98816.  Walmart is about a 10 min drive from Campbell Resort
  • .Arrive no later than 8:20, 8:30 AM Driver's Meeting, 9:00 AM Group 1 departs, others leave in 10 minute interva
  • Embark on a morning drive exploring the remarkable Channeled Scablands, a landscape sculpted by Ice Age floods. Travel the scenic Million Dollar Mile along Banks Lake, where towering basalt cliffs and Steamboat Rock create some of Washington's most unforgettable views.  Stop for lunch at the award-winning Mexican Restaurant, La Presa, in Grand Coulee.  Pay-as-you-go.  .After lunch,.continue to the impressive Grand Coulee Dam Visitor's Center, one of the largest hydroelectric projects in the world.  
  • After the driving tour, enjoy an Evening Dinner Cruise aboard the historic, Lady of the Lake, on Lake Chelan. This is a scratch-made dinner of Tri-tip, Steelhead, delicious salads, rolls and a local dessert. This is a 6 min drive, or a 25 min walk from the hotel.

Sunday, October 11: On your own

  • Enjoy a relaxing day exploring the charming lakeside communities of Chelan and Manson. Visit local wineries in the renowned Lake Chelan Wine Valley, browse unique shops and galleries, stroll along the waterfront, or take a hike with panoramic lake views.
  • If time allows, consider extending your stay to experience even more of this beautiful and diverse region.

Tour Requirements:

  • Cancellations and refunds:  Cancellations must be made before Monday, Oct 5th, the day registration closes.  Once again--Credit card charges for the Friday wine tasting, dinner at Campbell Lodge, and Saturday night boat cruise and dinner will be charged to your crediit card on file with MSR AND WILL BE CHARGED AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION due to advanced payment obligations to the venues.  THERE ARE NO REFUNDS   Note that there is an option for each charged event to select "0" (zero) which means you do not plan to attend that event.
  • Car club membership:  To participate you must be a member of the PCA.  PNWR membership is highly encouraged!.  Porsche owners who are not members may register and receive a special invitation on a case-by-case basis from the tour organizer..
  • Non-Porsches on the Tour:  Non-Porsches are not allowed on the tour unless there are extenuating circumstances such as car in the shop car or car sold and no replacement Porsche purchased yet.  In these types of cases, approval of the tour organizer in advance of the tour is required.
  • For Adult participants and attendees:  The waiver of liability release form must be signed at the tour start point prior to departing on the tour..  Minors have a separate waiver form (Minors as Observers Only) that must be signed by a parent or guardian who is available at the start point.  The waiver(s) may be viewed in advance on www.pca.org-->Forms and Documents-->Waivers.  You must be signed in to the website to access the forms.

  • Age and driver's license restrictions:  All drivers must be at least 18 years old and in possession of a valid US driver's license at the time of the Tour.  A driving permit is not acceptable.
  • Registering for Passengers:  Please make sure to include the names of any passengers riding with you in the space provided during registration.  If you have two cars on the tour each car and driver must register with a separate Motorsportreg account.
