About this event
FYI, registration asks for a class. Just select Street Touring.
This will be an SCCA Trek Rally and will include a drive up Signal Mountain, down into the Sequatchie Valley, and up the other side, ending at a restaurant for lunch, near Jasper, TN and Nickajack Lake.
A Trek is a non-competitive, follow-the-leader rally and we'll wind through some interesting roads and beautiful countryside, up and down the mountains.
This event is open to everyone, including SCCA members and non-members. We'll provide a FREE weekend SCCA membership for non-members. Everyone will need to sign a waiver, and non-members will sign a free weekend membership app.
We'll meet and get organized from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Nov. 6 in the Food City parking lot at 703 Signal Mountain Road, near Starbucks so you can get a morning coffee if desired.
Then a quick driver's meeting and we're off, abiding by all posted speed limits. All street legal vehicles, including vintage, are eligible. Co-drivers/passengers are encouraged.
Route details will be emailed and paper copies will be given out at the start. Roughly a 3-hour drive.
We end up for lunch at Look Out Mountain Winery, which has great pizza, interesting wines and a spectacular view out over Nickajack Lake.
Our rallymaster will be SCCA Chattanooga Region member and former RE, Beth Cox. The entry fee is $10 per car, a portion of which goes to national SCCA and a small portion to our local, non-profit Chattanooga SCCA region. Lunch will be on your own hook. These are fun events and a great opportunity to meet fellow car people. We hope this will be a prelude to a fun game-type rally next spring!
