Come out and join the Connecticut Valley Chapter for a FULL day of High Performance Driving School at Lime Rock Park on Saturday, April 25, 2026.
For instructed students, that means one run group at time is one track during a session, not mixed levels. Advanced drivers will be mixed in with instructors. Registration starts at 8 a.m. The track goes hot at 9:00 a.m. and sessions run continuously until 5:00 p.m. Our goal is 20-25 minute sessions per run group, depending on how many sign-up. All drivers are placed in a run group based upon their track experience and Instructor recommendation.
We’re thrilled to have BMW of Ridgefield right by our side this season, providing top-notch parts and service technicians ON SITE throughout the day to all participants to keep your car performing at its best. Need a quick repair or last-minute tune-up? They’re ready to help so you can get back on track fast—making your day safer, smoother, and more fun than ever! 🚗💨

WHAT IS HPDE?
Our Track Days are designed first and foremost as High Performance Driver Education programs. The goal is simple: to help you become a more skilled, confident, and aware driver—while enjoying the experience along the way.
In a controlled, supportive environment, you’ll learn how to better understand the relationship between driver and machine, developing smoothness, consistency, and sound judgment. These skills not only enhance performance on the track, but also translate to safer, more capable driving on the road.
All schools are held on a closed course and led by experienced, trained instructors. You’ll have the opportunity to explore vehicle dynamics and control at speeds not possible in everyday driving, gaining insight into both your own abilities and those of your car.
Students may be approved for solo driving once they demonstrate solid fundamentals, consistent lines, proper on-track etiquette, and mature decision-making. Even then, continued coaching is encouraged, and BMW CCA guidelines require instructor participation during each event.
You will never be pressured to drive beyond your comfort level. Participants are grouped by experience and skill, and instruction is always tailored to your individual development—whether you are learning the basics or refining advanced techniques.
Every session is an opportunity to learn, progress, and enjoy driving at its best.
Classroom
Your day is a balance of on-track driving, classroom sessions, and breaks. While the track is the highlight, this is still a school, and classroom participation is an important part of the experience. All drivers are required to attend these sessions, which are tailored to your group’s experience level and designed to be engaging and practical.
What This Is — and Isn’t
Although you’ll be driving on a racetrack with other drivers of similar skill, this is not a race. Passing at the apex is not permitted, and you are not expected to drive at the absolute limit at all times.
Safety is our top priority. Driver behavior is closely monitored by staff, instructors, and corner workers throughout the day. Rules are enforced consistently, and unsafe conduct may result in removal from the event.
Do I need to own an BMW?
Not at all. Drivers of all makes are welcome — you don’t need to drive an BMW to participate. This school is a great opportunity to sharpen your driving skills and enjoy a fun, rewarding track experience, no matter what you drive.
