About this event
Welcome to the March 1-3, 2019 BMW CCA Club Racing event at Thermal.
This is a unique opportunity for us to have our own run group during the 3rd and final 2019 Triple Crown race weekends. We will be using the full GT track layout.
Our competition steward for the event will be Phil Abrami from Montreal, Canada and our tech steward will be Dave Uhyrek from Chico, CA. Out timing and scoring will be provided by the track and will use the AMB system.
We will have professional corner workers and full advanced safety in place the entire event.
The cost of the weekend is $975. $950. This fee is $900 for the facility/event (payable to the track using a cregit card form you will get in the mail) and $50 for $10M BMW CCA Club Racing insurance and $25 for Motorsportreg processing. There is no 2-day or 1-day payment option.
You will get about 4.5 hours of track time spread out over 9 sessions with plenty of opportunity to learn the track. This is a "Premier" event and will include 3 (maybe 4) races - all of which for points with 2 of them at 150%.
Your fee includes a very nice catered lunch for the driver, crew is an additional $25 each. There is nice shaded seating, table cloths, etc. It’s nice.
You will receive an assigned paddock spot with 75’ of length and a minimum of 20’ in width. Multi-car teams can add the width together so a 2-car team will have a 75’ x 40’ spot. We will all be together in the paddock. There are no garages that weekend.
Your fee also includes gate entry for the driver, the crew and any spectators. The names of your crew and any spectators will need to be provided prior to the event. Ralph Warren will organize that with you.
Your fee also includes camping overnight Thursday, Friday and Saturday night if you want. The gates will be open to come and go, but no trailers are allowed to enter the track after 7PM on any evening.
This place is very clean and we will leave it that way – all the way down to cigarette buds, used wire ties and tire marbles. We will clean up after ourselves completely. Other than their trash cans being full, they will not know we were there.
The schedule for the weekend will look like the following. It is subject to change but it will be close to this. We do plan on getting done as early as possible on Sunday.

New Info Added 2-21-2019...
RV electrical hookups are available but they are $50 a day payable to the track when you arrive.
Use of nice showers is available.
For BMW CCA Club Raing racers who are racig in this event, the ability to bring your street car and run it in the open testing sessions (the run group the members run in) is available for $250 a day - payable to the track. Regarding the type of car you can bring... (How do I politely say this?) The car needs to be modern and "high-end" if you know what I mean. Jim Steven's is bringing his 911 RS for example. We want to avoid the scenerio where a loud E36 w/ S54 on slicks destroys the Ferrari's.
Event requirements
You must have a competition race license to take part in this event.
If you do not have a BMW CCA Club Racing license, you can still race with us under the following conditions...
1.) You must have a valid competition race license with another organization.
2.) You must be a member of BMW CCA. Membership is $48 per year. You can join at the track or here www.bmwcca.org
3.) This is the first time you have races with BMW CCA Club Racing using a competition license from another group.
Your car must have an annual technical inspection done before you can race. It is possible that the tech steward can do your annual at the track, but you will want to set that up with him first. It is best if you get your annual done by a shop prior to the event. A list of approved technical inspectors and the annual tech form itself can be found here...
